"Ok, listhen up everyone I know it's the last class period you all have and everyone is tired and want to go home, but I need all of you to do your best in this play!" Mrs. Larry says while passing everyone a small book of the play No Muy Lejos in english meaning 'never to far'. "Because I have great news" she says turning to the class with a huge smile. "We will be performing this in front of the whole school! isnt that great?" My heart stopped for a second, I knew we will be performing and this play was going to be different but never did I think that it was going to involve that big of a crowd!! Most of the class smiled and yelled in excitement and Angel was one of them. "Mrs. Larry?" Angel says raising her arm up in the air as soon as the whole class calmed down. "yes, Angel?" Mrs. Larry replies sill keeping her smile "Can you tell us what the play is about?" The teachers smile grew even bigger to her question. "Yes of course, but keep in mind this play will be your semester exam!" she raises her index finger and wings it back and forth to everyone of us.

Oh dear lord no!

"The play is about two Spanish dancers name Lola and Juan who soon fall in love together, but Lola's sister name Paola is jealous of her own sister. Why? many of you may ask. Well because turns out she is in love with Juan aswell and tries to ruin their dance at the finals. To humiliate Lola in front of Juan to everybody at the crowd. Thinking that this will make Juan focus on her more, but what Lola's sister doesnt know-that Juan loves Lola more than the Spanish dance and the finals," Mrs. Larry awes with all the girls in the classroom. "Of course its more romantic when we act it out, and unlike the other plays this one isn't a musical. Has more hips rather than vocals" Mrs. Larry adds.

It didnt took more than 2 seconds when a boy fainally complained, "Mrs. Larry, It's so cliché, dont you think we be better of doing one um more exciting?? uh I dont know..like Footloose?" Mark Groans and puts his head on his desk. All the girls looked at Mark in shock even Mrs. Larry "Mark this play is beautiful and youre going to love it just like I did! by the way Footloose is not a play its a movie," Mrs.Larry's shakes her head in disapointment for moment but her facial expression changed when her eyes grew wider, "You know what!... you will be Juan," she gives him an evil grin. "What!?" Mark quickly lifted his head up from the desk. David looked at Mark and pointed at him with laughter "haha Loseeer!"

Mrs.Larry's mouth formed an 'O', "David, you will be Lola's evil sister meaning you have to wear a dress, high heels and make up. Oh and dont forget you have to talk in a high pitch voice" Mrs. Larry says looking at David with the same evil girn. "What!? No way!" David shakes his head. Mark laughs and now points at him, "Duude that is so gay!" Mark teases, "Mark! Language!" Mrs. Larry says while Mark turns to look at her in shock.

"Mrs.Larry you do realize David called me loser-", " -and David don't laugh just because he is going to play Juan OR you will be Lola's evil sister," Mrs. Larry says; ignoring and interrupting Mark's question with her eyes close while shaking her head in disapointment. The class giggled. "Okay so that means I'm not playing a girls role righ-'',"Okay now who wants to be Lola?" Mrs. Larry smiles turning away also ignoring David; Many of my classmates hands when up. I felt a kick again and turned behind me to look at Angel. "Raise your hand!" she whispers at me. I shruged "Either way she won't pick me out of all these girls" I whispered back. "Kacey!" I turn to the sound of my name. "You will be Lola" Mrs. Larry smiled at me.

Crap. I don't know if I should be happy or scared!

"What! but Mrs. Larry she never talks!" Stephanie snaps a little disappointed. Stephanie was one of those typical popular Asian girls who besides of being pretty she got in everything she wanted. Mrs.Larry turns to face her "Kacey is one of my quiet students in here and she will surprise everyone with her beautiful talent in acting." Mrs. Larry giggles turning back to face me with a wink. I returned her a small smile. Stephanie looked at me a disappointed. "Stephanie, would you like to be Lola's evil sister?" Mrs. Larry asked. "Sure" she says rolling her eyes.

"Oh thank god!'' David yells in relief.

I than see Mark turn around to face me resting his elbow on my desk in front of me. "So, you have the role of Lola, huh" he forms a smile across his cheek. My heart raced again. 'oh gosh hes talking to me.'

"Heh, I guess I-I am" I shrugged returning him a smile he kept his eyes on me making me not able to keep mine any longer on his. I turned away. "Well just know that you dont have to be shy around me," I lifted my eyes back to him and couldnt help but to smile at that. Across from the room I see Stephanie giving me death glares. 'oh no..she probably really wanted this role..' 

Just than I felt Angel hit my back making me turn to face her with a big smile on both of our faces. I knew why she was going beserk. "Oh my god!!" she whispers loudly.

"Oh Juan! Te amo!" Angel touches the top of her head with the back of her hand as she reads Lola's line with a Spanish accent from the small script book Mrs.Larry had lended us to study. She laughs and hits me with the book. "You can finally confess your love to Mark, Kacey!" she says giggling. I smiled as my cheeks warmed up to that.

We soon arrived at a bench outside East High School where we always sit during our lunch time and like always- were Amelia and Nekay awaits us. Amelia is the tallest of our group with short curly hair who never forgets to wear her favorite pink glasses; her and her boyfriend J.C. are into anime. Probably explains how these love birds grew feelings for eachother, now Nekay was brought to the group because of Amelia; she also has short light brown hair and always wears colorful skinny jeans. Our group of friends isnt big, but we had always been there for eachother all these years.

"Hey what's up girls!" Nekay says with a big smile when she sees Angel and I walking towards them. "Kacey is going to confess her love to Mark!" Angel says with a smirk on her face. "NO WAY, ARE YOU SERIOUSE! WHEN?" Amelia yells with food still in her mouth. "eew Amelia finish the food in your mouth before you ask," Nekay advices as she laughs at Amelia who both Angel and I joined her. Amelia swallowed fast and continued "When are you?" She asks again with a huge smile across her face. "Weell technically I am, but it's a play. My character is supposed to say I love you Juan in Spanish," I said a little excited and emberrassed.

"Awwwww!" they squealed, "That is so cute!" Amelia says with a huge smile. Behind her came J.C. and gave Amelia a surprise bear hug from her back. Amelia let out a scream and realized it was J.C. "Hey!" she smiles reaching up to give him a kiss on the lips. Angel, Nekay and I looked at each other while giving each other derp faces. "Sup guys!" J.c says after the kiss; we smiled and waved hi back to him. Amelia grabbed his hand and stood up. "I just remembered he was going to help me with my project. See you guys afterschool! and Kacey tell me everything then." She says as her and J.C. walked away. I smiled as I also stood up to throw my plate in the trash can that stood 15 feet away. However on my way over I somehow manage to bumb into Stephanie with her group of friends. Stephanie is the captain of her cheerleader group as well as the president of the National art club, so of course she hangs out with the most popular girls at school.

As I walk I felt eyes looking at me while I threw away my food. When I finially turned back around to return with Nekay and Angel... "Ew that's the girl that took away your part?" "Urgh yes and I still can't believe it. She completely ruined Lola's beauty," I tried to act like I didn't heard her say that as I walked away, but it still hurt.

Something tells me that we arent going to get along....
