Kacey’s P.O.V
Music played loudly from the speakers of our stage while our class finishes the last touches of our plays background setting. I was told to repaint some wooden cursive letters for our plays title.
I lifted my eyes to see both Mark and Mrs.Larry on top of the stage move useless boxes off stage. Mrs. Larry walked slowly down the stage steps to the seniors pit where some of my classmates and I were painting; everything was ok until she stepped wrong on the last step with her 4 inch heel making the box tilt, dropping everything inside of it.
"Aaah damn it!!" She yells while she as well falls straight down. Some kids near me rushed to help while I looked back down and reached for my black painted paint brush and hid it behind my back. I slowly took a step back and walked towards Marks direction clueless on what was coming at him.
He turned to face me before a smiled form, although he looked at me a bit confused, "Uuh you're up to something aren't you?"
I looked away shrugging my shoulders trying not to giggle, "Chill Mark I'm here to help clean this mess up," I chuckled, while I turn to look at him in the eyes making sure he bought that. I leaned down close enough for my surprise attack but sneaky enough so it won’t be obvious. Mark raised an eye brow with a smirk scrunching his eyes at me, still feeling unsure.
Without any warning I took a hold of the brush and soon Mark had paint across his nose down his right cheek. His mouth formed an 'O' in shock. "I’m so getting you back!" He laughs between his words as he throws the old assecories to the ground and gets up. My eyes widen in anticipation,"N-No don't you dare-!" I chuckle quickly getting up as soon as I saw he did.
"Aaaah! No please!" I yell as he tries to catch up to me. “HEY! Stop it guys!” Mrs. Larry yells from across the cafeteria. I turned back around when I saw him take David’s paint brush away from his hand. "Sorry dude," is all he said, "What the hell man?" David laughs.
Moments later I was finally trapped in the corner and across from me stood Mark crossing his arms over his chest. "You can’t run anymore, sweetheart," he smirks knowing he's got me.
Next thing I know I was caught in his arms trying to break free, until I feel the cold brush run across my nose.
I gasp turning around to face him, "You’re so mean!" I laugh reaching my hand over to touch the paint on the bridge of my nose with the tip of my index finger. "Me mean??” He chuckles pointing at himself-shocked of my "harsh" words.
Before I could say anything back, we heard someone clear their throat. It was Mrs. Larry, she looked at us irritated. "Both of you go and clean your faces and then come back and clean this up," she than shakes her head before leaving us.
I looked down not realizing how much two paint brushes can make so much mess.
"Come on lets go," I chuckle but a bit worried, I didn't want us to get in more trouble.
3rd P.O.V
"Uuh earth to Stephanie??" Lucy looks up to her confused by her sudden pause in the middle of her sentence.
Stephanie stood on the 7 feet stairs who was pasting the plays background together that is until she saw Kacey and Mark leave the cafeteria.
"I-I’m sorry what?" She blinks constantly as she looks down at Lucy.
