noa°

the white envelope laid crumpled and torn on the counter as she made contact with it. her hand gripped her cheeks tightly as her delicate tan skin began to burn. she could feel the cries climb up her throat- she turned toward the phone, laying flat on the table in broken plastic pieces. in an instance she was out the door, her bare feet padding against the damp coal colored concrete. the old victorian styled home came into view and she sighs in relief.

"jack please open the door!" she pounded her fist against the wooden shield keeping her from her best friend. "noa? wha-" her small frame was thrown into his arms- as if she couldn't handle her own weight. she gripped his tee shirt, he picked her up bridal style carrying her to a safe haven. her sobs echoed through the empty house. "it's okay," he placed a small kiss on her forehead. it was like the strong home her chest held for her heart slowly collapsed, allowing her fragile heart to fall shattering into millions of tiny shards. her lips chattered as her breathing faltered, causing noa to choke on her soft cries. "i l-loved him so much," she whispers, her tears faded down her chin. she had no more tears left to cry, she would have to wait until they were restored. "now, what happened?" jack cooed, still cradling her tiny body. "nash- he's gone." she whimpers, gallons of tears threatening to break through the surface of her eyes.  "did you guys fight?"

"jack, nash overdosed yesterday." she sniffles, her chest still aching from the mourning loss of her beloved. she could picture him tipping his head back, absorbing the pills. the way his icy orbs fluttered closed, as he took his last breathe made her body tremble.

"he needed me and i wasn't there," she cries. "don't say that!" jack softly demands. "he was sad, none of us could do anything about that." he assures pulling her close. he stroked her hair in a calming manner helping her breathing go back to normal. "can you do me a favor?" she asks looking up at him. he found the sight horrific, his bright little sunshine who fell hopelessly in love with the dark moon- who only ended up being a bomb of endless destruction.

"anything for you," he nods and she gives a thankful smile. "could you read me his suicide note? i couldn't bring myself to do it." his eyes widen but he nodded anyway. she pulled out the slightly crumpled envelope from the pocket of her baby pink pajama shorts.

the envelope seemed thicker than usual, almost like he inserted something inside, witch had indeed been the case. as his fingers raked through the envelope, pulling out a small tape, and a folded piece of paper.

her eyebrows knitted together as she held the tape between her fingers examining it. "ready?" johnson asks, noa nods squeezing her eyes shut.

"hey babe, if you're reading then you found my suicide note too. just know that despite the circumstances i loved you- i love you. and i am not gonna be cheesy and say you made my suicidal thoughts go away or that you were some sort of lifesaver, because you were really not." jack breathes unsteadily.
"you were just another common girl. but luckily you taught me the beauty of life. you made me happy. and i'm so sorry you probably cry every night because i'm not there anymore for our midnight calls. truth is, i even admit that our love story is so deep and meaningful. i'm saddened it only lasted a year, but i will forever be reminded of it where i am now. and i hope you are too, especially with this mixtape that has songs to summarize our love story. love you baby girl -nash,"
