Life seems to enjoy throwing the odd curveball right smack into my face. Looking back, you don't know how much I wish I knew then what I do now.
Her name is Rachel.
( I hesitated here for an approximate ten seconds before typing on because I realise that she has completely erased whatever form of obsession I've ever had with girls who carried that name.)
If you run a search on the meaning of her name on wikipedia, you would see 'naive', 'soft' and 'delicate' coming up frequently in the paragraphs. As my luck would have it, Rachel's character was the complete opposite of what people with her name are supposed to turn out to be.
Needless to say, she taught me one of the greatest lessons of my life.
