Chapter 1

Just thinking of the word school makes me shiver in disgust. I walked through the crowded halls of hell, also known as school. I ended up reaching my locker after a whole 5 minutes of walking painfully. I opened my locker door, aware of not hurting someone. I grabbed my books I needed for 1st to 3rd period, and closed the door after. I grabbed my schedule from my backpack and scanned through it.

Caroline Marie Hills

1st Period

Maths - Mrs. Willow

2nd Period

English - Mr. Ruth

3rd Period

Gym - Coach Dylan

Break

4th Period

Science - Mr. Gerald

5th Period

Social Studies - Mrs. Andrew

I sighed. Maths in first period? Really? Wow, what a smooth beginning of the year. I put back my schedule in my backpack and turned around to only bump into a hard chest.

"I'm so sorry- Cody" My eyes turned cold as soon as I saw who bumped into me. "Hello, babygirl" He smirked.

"What do you want?" I asked, getting irritated.

"Everything" He said. I rolled my eyes and tried to walk past him.

"Excuse me? Can't you see I'm trying to walk to class?" I asked.

He laughed. "I'm not stupid. The bell hasn't rang yet" He said.

I sighed and crossed my arms. "Can't you just ignore me for a day?" I asked, clearly annoyed.

He let out a low chuckle, shaking his head. "No thank you" He smirked.

I groaned, when a smart idea popped into my mind.

"There's something on your arm" I said, pointing near his under-arm area.

Of course, being the dumb jerk he is, he lifted up his arm and looked over there. "Nothing-"

He was interrupted by me laughing, walking through the huge gap he made. I knew I should run far away from him, so I did. He stared at me cold in the eyes, but I just ignored it.

I walked in my Maths class, breathing heavily. "What's wrong with you, dear?" Mrs Willow, probably the best Math teacher asked. I controlled my breathing after a few minutes.

"Nothing's wrong, Mrs. Willow. I was in a hurry" I smiled.

She nodded as I walked over to my seat, which gladly was right next to Cody's. Not.

How did I find out about that, may you ask? Well, he was sitting right there, before I even came in the room. Is he some sort of wizard? Apparating like in those Harry Potter movies?

I shook my head at my ridiculousness and sat on my desk, waiting for this class to be over.

1 minute feels like a year when you sit next to Cody Martins. Feels like you're stuck in hell with Satan. School started five minutes before.

"Babygirl" Cody whispered. I turned my head to look at him. "You look hot today" He smirked. I rolled my eyes, shaking my head. "Such a jerk" I whispered to myself. "What was that? I didn't catch it" He said, obviously playing me.

I rolled my eyes. "I said you're a jerk, Cody" I said.

"Parden me?" He asked, moving closer.

"You're a-" "Miss. Hills!" Mrs. Willow shouted.

With shaky hands, I turned to look at her. Although she might be the best Math teacher ever, but trust me, you don't want to get her mad.

"Detention. After school" She demanded.

I groaned and rolled my eyes a little bit, sending a little glare at Cody.

He was smirking.

Nice job, Cody.
