Present Day
A small town in Georgia
"Rowan, you need to stop spacing out." My mother stated from the door. She was leaning against the frame with her arms crossed. Her blonde hair was pulled up into a sleek bun.
When I glanced at her in confusion, she just looked up. Before I got the chance too all of my furniture that should've been on the floor, crashed to the floor. I looked down embarrassed for still not being able to control this 'gift'.
My parents grew used of the furniture floating once I spaced off. They are still slightly terrified of when I am angry and all the lights in the house begin to flicker. Once we've realized that these things are connected with my emotions, immediately my mom made sure I found other outlets for letting out anger before the magic could take control.
I pick up the furniture before I head downstairs to eat with the parents. My mother and father are a cute pair. They are sweethearts and are basically always together. They appeared to have never left the honey-moon phase.
"Did you read the paper today, Leon?" My mother ask while setting the food on the table.
My husband fills his plate with all the breakfast food before grabbing the newspaper. "Just getting up, Clair. I haven't glanced at the paper until this second." My father isn't a morning person. As a teacher he doesn't enjoy seeing the overly, loud students.
I begin to zone out.
Lights shine bright in my eyes. My arms go up to try to cover the brightness.
"A bunch of crows! All found dead found by this house!" I hear my mother's voice slowly fading away.
Trees are everywhere. I feel wind blowing against me as I shiver.
I wrap my arms around myself at the sudden chill.
Whenever I get deep in my thoughts, I am unable to control where my spirit goes. My body appears to be staring straight as my spirit leaves. It is normally always the same place, but this time it feels different.
I take a step forward only to hear the swish of water moving around. I look down and notice the water comes up to my knees as the sundress that magically appeared flows in the water.
Letting the tips of my fingers touch the water a glow illuminates where my fingers meet the water. I continue walking looking around noticing that I seem to be in a swamp of some sort surrounded by trees.
The willow trees surrounded everywhere. The wind slowly picks up making the rustling of the trees louder. My eyes widen as I hear someone breathing behind me. My eyes widen once they speak.
"Rowan. You've come to accept what you are." The honey-like voice says.
Once the hand grabs my shoulder and turns me around facing the owner of the voice I gasp in fear.
A woman with long black hair, is floating upside down. Her yellow eyes, in align with my green eyes. Her skin appears to be as white as snow. Fear begins to prickle down my neck.
"Do not fear your future child. He is waiting."
"Who?" I couldn't help but sound weak and afraid. She answers smiling before speaking
"Understand that you are meant for each other."
I saw the trees start up into flames along with anything else in site. Fire was eating anything in its' way. I turned watching all the flames slowly move towards me. I turn back to the girl who disappeared. I started to scream in fear.
" Rowan! Please honey come back to us." I hear my father's desperate voice beg.
I feel water dripping onto my face, a wet rag placed on my forehead. I open my eyes and realize I must've fallen out of the chair. I see my parents face hovered over mind, both of them have panic written all over.
I cracked a smile before laughing slightly. "When did we become such a crazy crew?" I asked
Both of my parents hug me. A hugging session filled with laughter and love.
It was all covering up my fear, for when he comes...
