Confront.
Con•front;
1. Face up to and deal with. ( A problem or difficult situation.)

The girl with the dark blue hair has disappeared. Aphrodite had supposedly gotten into a bad crowd.

Her boyfriend was the soccer captain. There were rumors that he'd gotten her pregnant and then broke up with her.

Others say he had knocked her up on purpose and then punched her behind the school to keep her from telling anyone.

The worst rumor was that he raped her, beat her and then left her alone to kill herself.

I hated hearing it, I even lashed out at some of the freshmen soccer players for saying how they "wanted" her.

None of the rumors had an upside. The girl that I like had been pregnant all along.

She never gained weight though, She dropped pounds. Aphrodite always looked lethargic, or despondent.

Her seat was empty for the fifth day in a row, it terrified me.

So I decided to go to the next best person. The guy who broke my jaw. Aphrodite's brother, Ares.

I was terrified but I needed to. I would have to see about her.
