Nikki had taken kayla to get a few more school supplies as I stayed home. It was Saturday and I really had Nothing to do. I stayed in my room all afternoon drawing. Eventually I grew tired and went to the living room. I sat on the sofa and grabbed the remote. Knock Knock. I turned the volume down as I was Sure I heard a noise. Knock knock. Who could it be? Slowly I went over to the door and looked out the window. I looked through and could see Eric standing there rocking back and fourth on his toes. My eyes widened. He noticed me and smiled as he began to wave. I smiled back but gulped afterwards. He pointed at the door knob and I nodded. I opened it then stood back.
"Eric"I said.
"Hey sorry for coming without telling you. Sam's the only one home right now and I needed to escape " he laughed.
I laughed as well and nodded.
"Oh it's fine. Come in"I said.
He laughed more as he stepped in. I closed the door and walked back to the sofa. Eric sat on the one across from me and took his hat off.
"It's still chilly out there".
"Sure is" I agreed.
He set it down then began to ruffle his hand through his hair. My eyes widened as I noticed I was beginning to stare. He looked back at me.
"Ah! you thirsty?"I laughed.
"Oh ha no Thanks. I was drinking a soda on my way here"he shook.
"Of course you would".
"Yep"he grinned.
I laughed then turned to look at through tv.
"So Where is everyone?"Eric laughed.
I kept my eyes on the screen.
"Heh nikkis at the store with Kayla, they've been there all day "I laughed.
"Oh did they meet up there?"he asked.
"Lol no. They left from here with one another"I answered.
"Oh so she came here then".
"No she got up with all of us, ate breakfast then left with nikki ".
"Ate breakfast?".
"Yea"I laughed as I looked back at him.
Eric was already looking towards me. His expression seemed a bit off. I stopped smiling and stared.
"Are.. you okay?"I asked.
He blinked a couple of times then smiled.
"Kayla lived here no?"he asked.
"Eh yes"I nodded.
He looked back towards the tv.
"Hard to believe that"he laughed.
I turned my head a bit still watching him.
"Eric um is there something wro-?"
"Last time I recalled, you didn't find it comfortable to be around girls. Besides your sister that is"Eric laughed.
I looked down a feeling shy.
"That's still true"I mumbled.
"I guess Kaylas an exception "he said.
I narrowed my eyes Slowly then looked up. He still hadn't looked back. His words seemed to be spitting out now. Did he really.. did he think I.. that I.. no seriously no. I shook my head feeling a bit mad.
"Eric you did hear me right?" I asked a bit louder.
"Bout her yeah " he nodded.
I shook my head more then stood in an instant. I walked over and sat beside him. Without thinking I yanked on his shoulder. He turned looking kind of surprised.
"You probably didn't hear me the first time"I said angry.
He watched quietly.
"I'm completely in love with you. I said that.. I meant that "I frowned.
He began to frown too. I looked down feeling embarrassed. He raised his hand to his mouth and looked the opposite way.
"You never responded to me after that but still.."I whispered.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to act awful. That time.. I was just surprised" he whispered as well.
I didn't look up.
"And now? Why do you think I could love someone else?" He managed to say.
He took his hand away then looked down shaking his head. I peeked at him.
"I'm.. I.. I act out without thinking Sometimes. Since all this, I'm running with so many emotions at once"he said still looking away.
I frowned.
He looked up quickly then turned his vision back at me.
"You.. you say you love me. And I've never fell for anyone in that sort of way"he frowned.
My jaw dropped. I felt as if I wanted to cry. He gulped.
"But!.. but I think, if it had to be you.. I would be pleased"he said looking the other way again.
It felt as if time had froze. I couldn't feel my body. It was as if I was floating on top of a cloud. My mouth still remained open. I couldnt find the words to speak. Eric reached out his hand to mine and grabbed it. I could feel his fingers entertwine around mine, I couldn't breathe!
"I think too much about you now. I don't understand it all yet but.. I do like you"he said quietly.
