Lunch was even worse. Even though the principal (who was Ms. Jacobs, by the way) said they would have equal treatment, nope. When they finally Lee and Mia finally got the courage to open the cafeteria door (Baby Bear had another lunch period) it was awful. They could see a roped off section with an ugly cardboard sign that said "Freaks only". The cafeteria went silent as they walked in. They both brought their lunch, so they wouldn't have to wait. "Lee asked Mia in a whisper," Do we really have to sit there?"
"I mean, I guess we should. We especially don't want to be breaking the rules."
"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, FREAKS? SIT DOWN!" A rough looking boy stood up from his seat.
Mia and Lee were probably a head shorter than him.
They both speed- walked to the "Freak" section and sat down.
They sat there until the bell rang and they headed back to the classroom.
"Humpty?" Mia asked happily.
"Yeah, yeah. Pinocchio told me I had to go so....here I am," Humpty said glumly.
"AHEM. We are separating you into different classes now." Mrs. Martin said.
"There will be only two classes since it is such a small group."
Class A: Ugly Duckling, Baby Bear.
Class B: Elf, Egg.
