Chapter 1: The God That Saved Me

This is it... I have nothing left in my life. The one person who promised that they would never leave me left. I can't believe all the lies I've found out, and I can't believe he would just throw me away because he was tired of me. It makes me feel worthless, no one is ever going to love me. He didn't even love me, it was all a lie. In the end, he treated me so unkindly that I started to do the same, and now I'm all alone. I don't see a reason why I should be here anymore, I just want the pain to go away. My heart hurts so badly it feel like it can give out any second. If I do this, it'll all be over...

She was standing at the edge of a building 20 stories high. She looked down and all she could see was the empty street. She couldn't stop the tears from coming down. As she tried to mentally prepare herself, she felt like she was ready to jump... Which she did. She didn't fall far as she felt like she landed in someone's arms. "What..?" She looked up to see a guy dressed in a flashy outfit and half ponytail, looking at her seriously. She noticed that he was floating in the air. How is that even possible?

"What were you just doing?"

Instead of answering his question, she asked, "Who are you?"

"Answer my question first! What were you just doing?!"

"I was..." She couldn't make herself say as more tears were running down her face.

"You were about to end your life, weren't you?"

She nodded in response, wiping her tears away at the same time. "I don't see a reason to live anymore. No one is ever going to love me..."

"Don't say that. One day, someone will sweep you off your feet, proclaiming their love for you. That's not a good reason to throw away your life. You have so much to live for. Don't you have dreams? Don't you have things you want to do that you haven't done yet? Of course you do! Go and live your life, don't let this be the reason that stops you."

She was stunned at his little speech. He's right. She does have dreams, and she has tons of things on her bucket list. Why would she do something so stupid by ending her life all because of a guy? He broke her heart, yes, but the God is also right about someone one day sweeping her off her feet, proclaiming their love for her. She was about to graduate from high school and finally get to go on a journey to find herself, she won't let one person take that away from her. "Thank you..."

"So you're going take my advice?"

"Yes. You made me realize that I do have so much to live for. Thank you for making me realize that I was about to make the worst mistake of my life."

"Good!" He floated down on the ground and let her go. "Just enjoy life without regrets, alright?" He put his hand on her head.

"Yeah. Um... What is your name?"

"I'm afraid I can't tell you that. But I can tell you this... I'm the prank master." She giggled. "Well... I need to go now. Remember, live life with no regrets!" As he was about to fly away, she reached out for his sleeve.

"Wait! Will I ever see you again?"

"Hm... Maybe someday! See ya!" With that, he disappeared in a flash, followed by hearing a sound of a snap afterwards. She looked up at the sky, and saw the Pisces constellation.

"It's really shining tonight. It's so pretty." Feeling a little happy, she put her hand over her heart. That mysterious guy saved her life. If it weren't for him, she wouldn't be alive right now. He had her go into another direction at life, and can now see a future. 'Will I ever see him again..?'

Five years has passed, and Ariana was in her last year at University. She was finally going to accomplish her dream of becoming a nurse. She wanted to help people and bring smiles to people's faces. Even if it's been a while, the God's face that saved her life is always on her mind every day. He never left her mind once, and wishes one day that she can see him again. Though she can't say that she is truly happy after finding out her ex is with someone else, but once again, think about what the God said! 'Live life with no regrets!'

Leaving campus in the evening, she was walking on her way home after a tiring day. "Maybe I should pick something up for myself." She dug through her wallet, and saw that she was low on cash. "Or maybe not..." She let out a sigh, and went through her phone while she was walking. "Let's see... What are some places that are really cheap?" After looking through a whole list of possible places, she gave up and put her phone away. "I guess it's ramen again..."

Suddenly, a hand went over her mouth, and made her drop her school binder on the floor. The culprit dragged her in an alleyway, and threw her against the wall. "What are you..?"

When she looked up, she saw a creepy looking guy giving her a nasty smirk. "Are you asking for it?"

"What?"

"Your shirt is sure revealing."

She was wearing a buttoned up blouse. 'What the hell is he talking about? I'm not showing off. I think this guy's just thirsty.' Besides, she wasn't going to have him do whatever he wants with her. When she moved even just a little, he trapped her by putting his hands on the wall, trapping her in between them. "You're not going anywhere." Giving him an unamused face, she kicked him where the sun doesn't shine, pushed him away, and made a run for it. "Hey!" In obvious pain, he ran after her. She grabbed her school binder without stopping, and ran down the sidewalk. She heard footsteps behind her, figuring that he was chasing after her. "You're going to get what you deserve for revealing yourself so much and what you've done to me!"

'Who does he think he is? He's the one who harassed me and now he's mad at me?! This guy is such a wuss, and he thinks he can do whatever he wants with me? You thought wrong, asshole.'

She ran into a forest thinking that she would lose him, but he was still on her tail. "Stop running! It'll make things a lot easier!"

"No means no! You're wasting your time!"

It felt like forever since she was running away from him. She was out of breath and dying for a rest, but she had to keep running away from the guy who keeps chasing after her. He showed no signs of giving up. It's been almost an hour, man! Give it a rest and go home!

Even though she had to keep running, she started to slow down and feel light headed from running for an hour straight.' Wow... I could never run for a hour like this. But now's not the time to think about that! That guy is going to-' As she stop to catch her breath, he grabbed her wrist. "You're going to pay!" He threw her on the ground and kicked her in the stomach. "You can't run anymore." As he was kneeling down to get on top of her, an extended red boxing glove punched him in the chest, making him get off Ariana. "Huh..?" She turned around and her eyes widen. It's the God that she met five years ago! But where did he get that boxing glove? But that's not important! "It's you..."

"It's been a while!"

The guy was slowly getting up. "What the hell..?" The God saw and snapped his fingers. A giant hole appeared under the guy, and obviously fell in it. "W-What the?! How did this even happen?!"

"Thank you for saving my life again."

"No problem! I never thought I would see you again this soon! And especially around here."

"Yeah... I'm kind of lost..."

"It's pretty late. I can take you home."

"Really? Thank you so much, I really appreciate it."

"It's no problem! Then let's-" When he looked more closely at her, he saw something in her which made his eyes widen. "Uh... On second thought, let's make a detour."

"What? Where are you taking me?"

"The Department of Punishments."
