Chapter 7

Chapter 7: Request

Aspyn's POV:

As I was packing my stuff from my music theory class, I heard Mr, Evans say to me

"Aspyn, can you stay after class. I need to talk to you" he said

I looked at him and nodded

I put my bag on my shoulder and walked up to his desk

"Hey Mr. Evans" I said

"Aspyn, I was wondering if you want to represent this school in the annual singing competition against other schools?" Mr. Evans asked

"Mmmm...... I don't know" I said

"Just think about it, ok?" I nodded

"I will, thanks Mr. Evans" I said and waved goodbye

Nathaniel's POV:

I watched as Aspyn walked away and out of the auditorium. I sat in one of the seats and ran a hand through my hair.

"Stop thinking about her!" I said in my thoughts

Every since she arrived here, I can't stop thinking about her and I think I like her. I asked her to represent this school for a competition thats located here this year. It was actually win, win deal. She can represent this school without a doubt and I can spend time to get to know her better; if my crush for her was temporary or was something more.

I was walking towards my car when someone called out my name

"Mr. Evans!" I heard and I looked where the voice came from; and saw Aspyn running towards me

"Oh! hey Aspyn. You okay?" I asked

"Ya" she panted a little

"I decided to do the singing competition" she said after a few minutes to compose her breathing bit

"Really? thats great. Meet me at the auditorium after school and we will work on a song" I said

"Ok, by Mr. Evans" She said and I watched as she walked towards her car

I looked away and walked towards my car and started the engine

Once I opened my house door, I saw my brother Matthew on his laptop.

"Hey" he said smiling

"Hi" I said smiling

"You ok?" he asked

"Ya, why wouldn't I be" I said

"You seem off lately" he replied

"Really?" I asked

"Is it about something or a certain someone?" he asked raising an eyebrow

"What?" I said with a little of a high voice when I lie

"It is! Isn't it!" he said

I nodded

"Ok, who is the girl?" he asked

I let out and breath and said "Its my new student Aspyn Kenneth and she's just amazing. She has a beautiful voice and every time I talk to her about something. I feel like I can tell her anything. you know?"

"You sound in love" he replied smiling

"I don't know, thats why I asked her to sing to represent the school. If I hangout longer with her, I will tell if its a temporary crush or something more" I said

"Well good luck to you man" he said patting my back

"What were you doing?" I asked changing the subject

"Doing work for Novard's" he replied

"Why?" I asked

"Right now, the Novard family is on a break from fame and stuff. So Logan Novard left me in charge of handling the companies rates; and to make sure they keep rising and not decline" he said

"Ok, well good luck. Am going to bed" I said

I changed into some baggy pants and a white shirt; and I got onto my bed and fell asleep
