~Dan's POV~
"Hey, Dan, good luck on your trip, okay?" Arin yelled into the phone. I was sitting at the airport waiting to catch my flight to New Jersey.

My High School reunion was planned for this weekend and I couldn't wait to see all of my friends from school.
All 5 of them.

I wasn't the coolest kid back then. I mostly just stayed at home and read comic books, but I still have a few friends who I don't talk to very much now. Mostly because we all went to different colleges.

A man calls out "now boarding flight 27 to New Jersey" and I board.

The entire plane ride, I was stuck at two window seat with 2 old ladies next to me talking about casserole and knitting.

When the plane lands, I grab my bags and drive to my hotel. It wasn't in the best shape, but it was fine for a weekend. I just have to pull the bed out of the wall.

I probably should have afforded a better room.

The next morning is the day of the reunion. I can't wait to see my friends from High School! There was (I made these names up, they are not from Grumps) Andy, Ben, and Alex. Alex was a girl, but she fit in with us.

I pull into the parking lot of the school and walk into the Gym. Everything looks so different, but so similar to how it was.

There were already people there, but not the ones I really knew. I know exactly where to go, though.

I shuffle my way over to the corner of the gym and see someone leaning against the wall with a hoodie.

"Hello, who are you?" I ask, walking a bit closer. "Dan? I-is that you?" The voice says.
It's Alex.

"Alex! It's so great to see you!" We come into a hug not long after. "I've been great. You?" She exclaims, putting her hood down.

"THERE SHE IS!" Some guy yells 50 feet away. A crowd of 10 people push me out of the way and surround Alex. She looks so scared from the sudden attention.

"Oh, hi!" She says, unenthused. I push my way back through the crowd. Everyone is asking questions like what's it like knowing Katy Perry and what was it like to be on Ellen. What happened here after I left?

A few minutes and a couple selfies later, the people leave and it's just Alex and I again.

"What was that all about?" I need to know. "Just a few fans and people who heard my music. That's all." She answers.

"Oh, you sing, too?"
"Yeah, I'm a pop star now."
"Really? That's rad!"
"Yeah, man! The money is great, but the crowds get old."

We talk for an hour about our music and careers with only a few people breaking into the conversation.

"We should talk more, Dan! I've really missed you. He's my number. Just don't leak it to the Internet" Alex hands me a slip of paper she just wrote out and walks off with more people surrounding her.

I just wish she would have stayed longer.
