It's the day of prom. I'm running about like a looney trying to get everything together.

I get into my dress, I realized my boobs have grown somehow and they are trying to escape my dress. I guess tonight is going to consist of me trying to keep my dress up. As I sit at my make-up table, rustling through my make-up and caking it on, my mom is doing my hair in a messy bun.

As I applied my light pink lipgloss, the doorbell rang. I got my mom to answer as I had to get the presents downstairs and had to put my jacket on.

When I got downstairs with everything, I saw River smartly dress in a tux. He is just perfect! I kissed my mom goodbye and headed to River's mom's car. He politely opened the door for me. I awkwardly got in the car, trying to avoid my dress getting caught.

"You look beautiful, Karen. Absolutely gorgeous." River said holding my hand as his mom drove us to the school. I blushed and I just wanted to squeal in delight.

The car pulled up at school and River opened the door for me and helped me out of the car. We waved his mom goodbye and headed into the school, holding hands.

We walked through the main hall doors to see the hall done up with love heart balloons and banners saying 'Welcome To The Love Heart Ball'

We grabbed a seat next to the buffet and I gave River the presents.

"I hope you like it. It took me forever to do!" I smiled.

He looked through the photo book and he smiled the whole time and occasionally giggled at the pictures.

"This is lovely. I've never smiled so much in my life." he said giving me a hug. "Here's your present. It's not nearly as special as yours but I hope you like it all the same" he said holding out a small gift bag. I opened it to reveal a ring box. I opened it to see the most gorgeous ring. It was real diamond! I was in tears of joy now. I looked up at River to see him smiling at me, his eyes shining. He took the ring out and I held out my hand. He place the ring on my finger and I started to cry even harder. He stood up and we both hugged each other. I've never felt more special in my life, but when I'm with River, I feel like the luckiest girl alive!

We then took to the dance floor. We started dancing to '99 Red Balloons'. Such a happy upbeat song. Then 'Pictures Of You' by The Cure came on and we slow danced. I wrapped my arms around River and he placed his hands on my waist. We danced in the middle of the dance floor. It felt like we were the only ones dancing.

As the prom came to an end, the announced prom king and queen. It wasn't us sadly but I don't care. I had the best night of my life and I couldn't have asked for a better night.
