Caribbean Werewolf Chapter 4

For those of you that already read the first 3 chapters, I added something. Jack is looking for the other dimension because his father went missing looking for it. Read on and please vote , it would make my day :)

This one is short and to the point, but i hope you like it...

Chapter 4: Up Close and Personal

Jack barely slept that night, he twisted and turned in his bed... something was wrong.

The next morning he woke up to his alarm clock, took a bath and got dressed for school. He was filled with the anticipation of finding out what secrets Mary Ann's letter could keep, and if they could help him find his father.

"Still trying to graduate from high school? Don't ya have better things to do mate?" a cocky voice said as Jack was about to leave.

Jack turned around to find one of the members of his pack, Keenan, who was from Australia, leaning against the wall. "Just sayin Jackie boy, what are you gonna do with a high school diploma? Give a vampire a paper cut?"

"Shut up and go find something useful to do Keenan. It's none of your business whether I choose to go to school or not... mate." Jack growled.

"Allright man chill, I'm going."

"That's Sir man to you, or have you forgotten I'm your Alpha?"

"Come on Jack, are you serious?"

Jack growled.

"I mean Sir." Keenan corrected, "I'll go find something to do, have fun at school. And take the car this time."

Jack scoffed. Typical Keenan... I growl at him and he still dares to give me an order.

Keenan was Jack's rival, always after his Alpha title.

The only reason Jack hadn't kicked him out yet was because Keenan was son of an Alpha from another pack, which made him an Omega. He' d been beaten in a fight for the Alpha role and kicked out of the other pack, but being an Omega still gave him strength and abilities the others didn't have, and so he proved very useful.

Jack pushed the thought of fighting Keenan off his mid because of the same feeling that had bothered him that night... something was wrong... and he feared it could have something to do with Mary Ann. He decided to take his car to school this time in case they needed it.

Mary Ann carried the letter in her school bag as she waited near the lockers for Jack to arrive. She was early, bored, and there was barely anybody in school so she decided to take a walk outside.

The parking lot was pretty empty except for a couple of teenagers hanging out beside a black SUV. One of them called out to her. "Hey beautiful, would you mind coming over here for a second?" before she could think of a reply she found herself walking towards the boys, they were all so good looking... so alluring.. she couldn't help herself. As she neared them, she realized they weren't teenagers, they looked like they were in there 20's... As she neared them even more, she realized they weren't even human... they were vampires. Her fangs popped out in defense.

"Who are you?!" she snarled.

"Your slayers." Replied the vampire who had called her, and before she could react he was on top of her.

Jack suddenly found himself agitated as he was driving to school, now he was sure there was something wrong with Mary Ann.

When he arrived he instantly recognized the sounds of a struggle. he got out of the car and saw something that made him so angry he shifted, leaving ripped clothes all over the place. There were about five vampires carrying a struggling Mary Ann into a black SUV. Jack moved so fast they didn't react until he was already biting one of them in the neck and riping his head off, killing him instantly. The others had time to attack him... One of them pounced on him and bit his back. the others kicked, punched and scratched him. He howled in pain.

Fortunately, they were distracted enough to let Mary Ann go. She quickly reacted to seeing Jack being mauled and grabbed the vampire on top of him. She snapped his neck irreparably, killing him.

This was enough to prevent Jack from being killed. He grabbed one of his attackers and snapped his neck with his wolf jaws. He proceeded to do the same with the other four.

Mary Ann was surprised to see that instead of blood and mangled bodies all that was left was dust.. the vampires had burst into clouds of dust.

Then she noticed Jack... even all bloody and wounded, the sight of him was beautiful. His fur was light brown with shades of darker brown, and he had such big eyes... Those piercing green eyes she loved were even more piercing in his wolf form. He was amazing.

She was snapped out of her reverie when she realized they were still on school grounds. Luckily the parking area was secluded and there was nobody there, but they had to move before anybody got there.

"What are you waiting for? Shift back. Someone could see you!"

The huge wolf replied by bowing his head in embarrasment... and then he made a gesture toward the ripped clothes with his muzzle.

"Oh. You're naked"

She looked at the school and thought about bringing him a towel from the locker rooms, but when she turned around...

he was gone.
