Its has been about a month since the incident with my brother and mom. Dad still has them in the barn and everyone in the house believes what my dad is doing is right except me. I almost died that day, but we still keep them in the barn adding onto the ones Otis finds in the woods. Dads scared something is going to happen to me, so he won't let me do any of my old chores, or anything at all and it is frustrating. I have to sit in the house, or on the porch all day, and it is getting really boring. But one day it was different, I was sitting on the porch, bored as usual, and I saw something in the field. At first I thought I was seeing things, but then I saw it again. So I called Maggie to come outside, and I grabbed the binoculars of the chair next to me. When I got a closer look at the figure, I saw it was a man in a sheriff outfit, and two other men behind him. But what I saw the man holding was shocking, and scary at the same time. It was a boy so bloody and pale that he looked like he was dying. When they started getting closer, Maggie called Daddy to get his butt out here. I now noticed Otis was with them, so I inferred he had something to do with this. After about five more minutes of running, they got to the porch. My Daddy asked if the boy was bit and the sheriff said, "no, he was shot by your man." That shocked me, but I knew Otis probably didn't do this on purpose, but the other dude with them didn't seem to believe he did this on accident. After their conversation, Dad finally told Maggie, Patricia, and Beth to go get things prepared. After he said that I asked what I could do and my dad said to go sit on the couch, or make the sheriff some food. I obviously didn't want to go sit on the couch while everyone else was doing something productive, so I went and made the sheriff some food. When I was done it seemed I had missed some very important information, because Otis and the other man were gone, dad wasn't helping the kid, Maggie was also gone, Patricia looked concerned, and the sheriff looked weaker than when I had last seen him, which was about ten minutes ago. I also was now able to get a better look at the boy. He had short brown hair, a lot of freckles on his face, and I could tell that he is taller than me and about my age. Finally after looking at the boy, for what seemed like forever, I gave the sheriff the food, which was just a sandwich, some chips, and a cup of water. I sat down in the chair next to him, and finally got some courage and said," Your son is going to be ok. I hope you know that, and by the way, my name's Isabella, but you can call me Belle, or Bella." When I finished speaking, he was still eating his food. When he finished he looked at me and said," Thank you, my names Rick Grimes. Sorry to ask, but I haven't seen you around, so I would like to know who you are." My reply to him was," I'm Hershel's  youngest daughter, I'm ten, so he doesn't like me seeing a lot of things. If it isn't a problem to tell me, What happened and what's his name?" There was a long pause and after about ten minutes, he finally replied. "That's Carl and he's my son, and it was just a hunting accident." After he told me that I felt bad. He might be losing his son, kind of  like how I lost my mom. I would never wish that on my worst enemy. "I'm sorry this happened, my dad's not going to give up until your son is better." He stared at me for a moment and before he could reply, Maggie and a lady with long blackish-brown hair ran in. The lady started asking questions to the man I now know as Rick. I connected the dots and figured out that she is his wife. Before Maggie left, I heard them talking about a Lori, so this must be her. Well at least I know where Maggie went, now all I need to find out is where Otis and that mean looking dude is. But right now, all I can think about is what's going to happen to the boy I now knows name is Carl.

( She finally met some of the main parts of the group, do you think she will change her opinion on the creepy dude or will it stay the same)
