Chapter 13 (Best Surprise)

(Ashley's POV)

When I woke up the next morning, I went downstairs to eat some breakfast. When I was downstairs, El said to me , "Hey girl! How's the date last night?" "It's great. It's fun." I said while smiling. Then, by that time, my phone rang and I picked it up. "Hello?" "Um.. Hi are you Ashley Caitlyn?" "Yes I'm Ashley. May I ask, who's this?" "Ashley.. Your mom got shot yesterday and is now here in the hospital." When the caller said that, my jaw dropped open. I was so shocked and scared. I panicked and dropped my phone on the floor. "ASHLEY! Are you okay?!" El asked suddenly. "It's- it's - it's.. MOM!" I cried into El's arms. "I gotta go now! I gotta go!" I said. "To where Ash?! To where?!" El asked. "El, mom got shot yesterday and no one knows if she's gonna be alive or will pass." I said in a scared tone. Just then, Jessica came down stairs and said , "Whats all the commotion here?!" "JESSI! Mom is in the hospital cause she got shot!" I shouted/cried. Then Jessi collapsed down on the floor. "Lets head to the hospital right now!!" Jessi said while grabbing the car keys.

On the way to the hospital, I continuously cried and cried. El hugged me and held my hand and said , "Ash, its ok ash. We just gotta pray." "I wish el. I wish." I replied in a shaky voice. Just then, I received a text message from Harry saying , "Hey beautiful girl! How's your day? I'm here with the other boys having a concert later on. -Harry :) xoxo" I didn't know what to do. I felt like i didn't want to reply him cause of the sadness but the half of me wanted to talk to him so badly. After a while, I texted back to him saying , "Hey hazza! I'm just here broken/sad. I'm headed to the hospital with el and Jessi. Gonna miss you! :( -Ashley xoxo" by then, we arrived to the hospital. "Come on!" Jessi said while getting out from the car. The 3 of us rushed as quickly as possible to reach the counter. "Miss, can I know where is Ellie Caitlyn?" Then the nurse looked at us in a confused look but didn't want to ask any questions so she said , "She's in that room. But she's in a coma right now." While pointing at the room nearby. When Jessi heard that she was in a coma, she automatically broke down.

By then, we were at the waiting hall and el brought Jessi to the cafeteria to calm her down. While i was all by myself there, I started questioning myself what would I do if my mom is gone? What about Jessi and me? What will happen to us? Questions just came popping in my head. Then I started texting Harry cause I need someone to comfort me right now. "Hey Harry? How are you there? I really need you here. Mom is in a coma right now. I don't know what to do Harry. I really miss you. Hope you'll come back fast. :'( -Ashley xoxo" Then I waited for Harry's reply and he said , "Hey babe! Don't worry I'll come back later at 9. Paul let all of us to come home and have a break. Lou and I will go there. The other boys are going back to their hometown. Ashley just believe me, mom is gonna be okay. Just think positive. I really miss you too. I love you so much. :) -Harry xoxo" with that text I just received I felt like my heart leaped with joy. But half of me was still broken cause of mom. Just then i heard nurses rushing to my mom's room and shouting , "Room G86! I repeat, room G86! Emergency!!" Then, doctors and nurses came running to my mom's room. I don't know what to do. I rushed to my mom's room and wanted to go in but, one of the nurses said , "I'm sorry miss. You can't come in now. We're under going a emergency operation right now. Don't worry miss, we'll try the best we can." I cried and cried. Then el and Jessi came running to me and started comforting me. Jessi shed a tear but she stayed strong cause she was confident and brave that mom would be alright. After that, el said to me , "Ash, we gotta go home now. We'll come and visit aunt Ellie tomorrow." I didn't want to go home but, I feel a little bad that I'll leave Harry alone there. So i just accepted the request and went home. On the way home, Jessi said to me and el, "Hey ash , el, can I stay at Jack's house for the night? I need him" el replied with , "Yea sure, just stay safe okay?" Then Jessi nodded. Jessi told us the address and we went to send her to Jack's house. When Jack saw her, he went and hugged her. I thought it was sweet and cute. Then el and me just went home.

When we reached home, el and i saw two cards on the table at the living room. "Uh.. What's this and What's it for?" El said while picking up the card. "I don't know.. Lets read it." I said while also picking up the card. When I was reading it, I saw "To: Ashley From: Harry" and I think on the other hand, El's card read , "To : Eleanor From: Louis." Anyways, when we read those words , Lou and Harry came out from behind the sofa and gave me and el a big hug and kissed us. "Aww.. This is the best surprise!" El and i said while hugging them.
