Chapter 1 – Seto's POV

I was fresh out of university and looking for a job in psychological medicine. Rumors had told me that there was I job going out at a Mental Hospital out in a nearby forest. It was quite a... unique job. Because of the remote location, most of the staff stayed on the campus which was smart. The building slowly came into sight down the road that I was walking on. It was a large white building with windows that where mostly covered up. I look around me to see if anyone was watching me and I perform a simple teleportation spell to the front entrance. As weird as this might sound, I've been able to do stuff like this my whole life. I looked into it a few years back but not much came out of it except the fact that I most likely wasn't human.

I open the door and walk in the building to see a clean reception with happy paintings placed to add colour to the room. I continue to make my way to the desk to young women with thick glasses and a red dress on. She looked up from her computer and smiled at me.

"Hello Sir, how can I help you today?" She said while looking at me.

"Hi, I'm here for a job position..." I take off my back pack and hand her a folder with a copy of my résumé. She gave me a shocked look.

"You're actually the first person to apply and the position's been open for months..." She picked up the phone that was beside her computer and dialled a number.

"Someone just applied for the job, boss..."

I could just hear some murmuring coming from the other said of the phone line. She looked up at me.

"Dr Wattled wants to see if you can to the interview now."

I shrugged, "Yeah, sure."

After a few minutes a tall, old man with a skinny frame dressed in a white lab coat busted through the door. He walked up to me. He took my hand and shook it.

"Hello, I'm Dr Wattled. And you are...?"

"Hi, I'm Seto, Seto Sorcerer." I replied, starting to get nervous.

"What an odd last name." He smiled at me warmly.

Dr Wattled went up to the receptionist and grabbed my résumé from her. We sat down and went through it. It was quiet easy actually, easier than I thought it would be. After he had been through the pieces of paper he looked quite satisfied.

"Seto, you're hired." I look up at him.

"Really? Thank you so much!" I look up at him with a shocked face.

"I'll just go and get the rest of the paper work. Oh and will you be living on campus?" He asked me.

"No thanks, I live close by anyway." I smiled at him.

He nodded as he walked back in the reception area and grabbed a folder of paper to give to me.

"Here you go," he said to me as he handed me the folder. We continued to talk and joke about until there was a knock at the door. A middle aged man in a Police Officer uniform stood at the door. He looked tired from driving.

"I'm here with the transfer patient Sorrow Calotychos." He looked blankly at Dr Wattled.

"Oh her. She was meant to be here tomorrow, though." Dr Wattled looked disappointed. I had heard the name on the news. She was the infamous mass killer who had murdered more than eighty people. Yelling and screaming came from behind him.

"Get you filthy hands off of me you sons of bitches! Fuck you all!" A younger voice screamed at the top of her lungs.

"Contain her!" Screamed another male voice screamed. I peaked over the police officer's shoulder to try and see what was happening. I push past him to see four cops trying to contain a girl. She had her back to me as I came up behind her and pushed firmly on the pressure point on her shoulder. I got to have a good look at the killer as she lay fainted on the ground. She had beautiful long brown hair with strikes of blonde highlights and a side fringe. She had a cute face with green eyes and a healthy body. She had put up quite a fight, even restrained in a straight jacket. Shame about her profession, though. The cops backed away from me.

"She's all yours mate!" One of the four said before climbing back in to the truck.

Dr Wattled and the cop standing at the door looked at me. The cop then gave a curt nod to Dr Wattled before climbing into the van himself and leaving with the others. I picked her up and slung her limp body over my shoulder. I walked up to Dr Wattled and placed her down beside him. He was impressed.

"When do I start?"
