Luce's P.O.V

"Wake UP!" Haykuto growled.

My eyes opened and I saw my team.

"Good, she's awake," Moxie cheered sweetly.

I sat up and rubbed my eyes.

"What are we doing today?" Kaia asked nervously.

Why is she nervous?

"Why?" Haykuto snapped,"it's not like your busy."

Kaia glared, "actually, I'm a barmaid. Also, I have a date tonight!" She crossed her arms and looked pleased.

Moxie changed the subject to unicorns.

But I saw that Haykuto was really hurt to hear of Kaia going on a date. It kinda feels familiar.

"Yo, sorry I'm late," Gatti said breathing heavily, he was in the doorway of my and Kaia's dorm.

"Actually, your on time," Moxie said cheerfully.

"Huh?" I yell, "I got up for no reason!?"

"Yes in fact we told Haykuto not to wake you," Moxie said nervously with a crooked smile.

I then slowly turn my neck and glared at Haykuto. But he wasn't paying any attention. He was really sad and hurt.

I then look at Moxie and she seemed to notice his mood chance. But Gatti and Kaia didn't notice.

"Today! Haykuto and Luce will be going on a job together!" Moxie said WAY to cheerfully.

"WHAT?!" Haykuto and I scream in unison.

Why does bad things happen to good people?

"Why?" Gatti asked.

"Because Gatti, I want this reward!" Moxie showed him a picture, "but it said a star scripter was needed."

A star scripter, is what Gatti has for magic. His magic is throwing explosive stars. It's cool.

(I'm sorry but that magic is made up)

"Oh," Gatti sighed, "I guess I'll go."

Moxie brightened, "you didn't have a choise."

Gatti growled but it was ignored when Haykuto asked, "What is our mission? I know you set up missions for everyone."

Moxie smiled, "babysitting! It's easy!"

She said that then...

**time skip**

I stand next to Haykuto, who was just as distinguished as me.

"9 kids? All under the age of 10," I repeated the words of the women in front of us.

She nodded, I could tell she was relieved by the dark circles under her hazel eyes, to have us. She must be really tired of those kids.

"Good luck," she said sweetly and left Haykuto and me.

"People should know better than to leave dark mages in charge of their kids!" Haykuto growled. True.

I laughed at his attitude.

I then watched a bunch of kids tackle him down. I turn my head and before I knew it, I was tackled by a horde of kids. It was like they were trying to kill us!

"Yo Lu! You all right?" I heard Haykuto yell.

I laughed, "kinda!"

He then pulled a group of kids and said, "you get this half, I'll take this one."

I nodded as I one by one got them to read a book.

I walked into the part where Haykuto was watching the kids, and he was in a rocking chair, with two kids sleeping soundly in his arms. He of course had an irritated look but his eyes were soft.

I've never seen him like this.

He was kinda cu-

"Don't even think about making a sound!" He said through telekinesis.

I sighed, this jerk!

I nodded pretending that I understand but really I just want to punch his face.

I walk backward out the door.
And closed the door.

The children's mother came in seconds later...
