A/N: I'm writing hangover chapters. Hooray.
Scarlet woke up before Pandora, unsurprisingly. But she wasn't feeling nearly as good as she should have been. She had an insane headache, and her muscles were sore all over. She felt like death. After a moment of contemplation, she realized she couldn't remember anything that went down last night.
Oh, no.
The hangover.
Yes, Scarlet thought. That would explain the empty bottle of vodka and shot glasses on the table, as well as the overabundance of unfinished snacks. God, how much did they drink, though? Two people and one bottle?
No, wait. There were seven glasses. Were there guests last night?
Oh, yeah. They'd invited their friends to celebrate her and Pandora's engagement.
In spite of her pain, Scarlet smiled. She really loved Pandora, and was elated to be proposed to--though it surprised her that Pandora was the one to do it.
Scarlet dragged her fingertips against their silver engagement ring lovingly, lost in thought for a moment. But only for a moment, as she heard Pandora sit up and groan.
"Ughh... Maybe last night wasn't such a good idea."
Scarlet immediately went back to normal. "Wow, you think?"
Ignoring her, Pandora tried standing up. She fell right back down. "I feel like death."
Scarlet giggled to herself. "Yeah, so do I."
Awkward silence weighed down the room for a few moments. Then Pandora spoke again. "Well, what should we do today? Besides each other."
"Aw, never mind then..."
Pandora snorted, flopping down on her face. Her voice was muffled by the pillow. "Throwing up ruins the mood."
"...Good point."
More silence.
"You know, why does everything we say relate back to sex?" Scarlet questioned, amusement tinging her tone.
"Because I have the sex drive of a rabbit and it rubbed off on you," Pandora answered coolly. As if it were the most normal thing in the world.
Scarlet walked up to Pandora and laid down on top of her, the back of her head resting awkwardly on Pandora's backside. "Nah, I was pretty dirty before we met."
"Then I made it worse. And why is your head on my ass?"
"It's soft," Scarlet replied with a grin. "Makes a great pillow."
Pandora sighed and let it be. They just basked in each other's presence awhile before Scarlet rolled Pandora over. Wordlessly, she straddled her fiancé, making eye contact all the while. Pure affection glowed in her eyes, as well as her lover's.
"I told you, no sex."
Wordlessly, Scarlet leaned down and kissed Pandora. It was reciprocated almost instantly, and though it never went further than a few pecks, those few pecks spoke louder than a million words. When they separated, they pressed their foreheads together affectionately.
"I love you," Scarlet whispered, her lips just a hair's breadth away from Pandora's. She lazily intertwined their fingers.
"I love you too," Pandora murmured back, a smile in her words. She gave Scarlet's hand a reassuring squeeze, green eyes warm and inviting.
"So, can we...?"
Pandora sighed in feigned annoyance. "When we're better."
A/N: Good lord, that was the first time I've ever written fluff... see you next chapter. Reviews are encouraged!
