Nora's P.O.V
I don't know how to explain it but today was the weirdest day in the world. Who is this Lucian guy and why is he so attached to me?

"I'm home!" I yell as I come through the door. My mom comes out in her apron with a spoon in hand. She's probably making something again. "Welcome home dear. How was your day? Did anything happen?" She asks returning back to the kitchen after seeing me. I debated whether to tell my mom about Lucian but I know she would freak out and move us again so I lied. "Oh it was great same day as usual." I step into the kitchen to see what my mom made. It's probably cookies again. Yep exactly as I thought, cookies. I snagged one before starting downstairs to my room when my mom stopped me. "Are you lying to me because if you are I will be very upset." She says holding my face in her hands. I respond, "Why would I lie. Nothing happened just a new guy transferred to school but he's normal." She lets go and I run to my room before she can ask me another question.

My rooms kind of like a basement well actually it really is one. There's small windows and I can see people's feet as the walk around but that's about it. Everything's either black or blue my two favorite colors and very minimal light, just how I like it. I'm not like goth or anything it's just the light hurt me for some reason. It's hard to explain.

I sit down at my desk and get on the computer to talk to my non existent friends. Even online I can't make friends but I like it that way. I pull up my photoshop software and begin my Photoshopping. About an hour into my project I fall asleep.

"Nora." Someone calls out to me. "Nora, protect yourself." Who is that. "Protect yourself from the Obsidian's, they're closer than you think." "What are you talking about!" I yell out. "Who are the Obsidian's?" "The...you........run."

I wake up in a pool of sweat. Run. What did they mean by run. What a strange dream. I look at the clock and realize it's already five. "Oh shit!" I get up and grab my homework. I forgot I have a paper due tomorrow. Before I could start though my mom calls out to me. "Nora come here!" "Coming!" I yell back. I put my pencil down and run up the stairs. "What is it mom?" I call out. "Can you help me move some stuff? My old age is getting to me." She says with a giggle as she holds her back. I help her move the couch from the wall to the other side of the living room. I look down and see something catch my eye. I bend down to see its a gem. I don't know what kind it is but is so beautiful. I pick it up by the string connected to it and hold it up in the light. "Hey mom what's this?" I hold it up to my mom and for a second she looked very panicked. "Mom?" I ask again. "Oh sorry. Spaced a little, that necklace I found in on you when I adopted you from the orphanage. I thought I lost it but I guess I just dropped the darn thing." She still looks at it as if it's a threat and I worries me. "Umm... Do you think I can have it?" I ask with caution. "Why not dear it's yours, just promise me if something weird happened tell me." She grabs my shoulders and looks right into my eyes. "Yeah of course. Got it." She lets go of me and leaves to the kitchen. Well that was weird.
