I glance down to my watch. Ten minutes late... "Are you sure you don't want me to go ahead and take your order Madame?" the waiter asks startling me. "No thank you. I can wait. He should be here any moment now." I tell him smiling, he nods and walks away. I can't believe he'd be late to this considering how much he says he wants me. I wish I would have had the balls to talk to Kerry about this last night. She might have actually understood... "I'm sorry I'm late!" I hear Mr. Primrose say behind me. I turn around and and my nose is greeted with a sweet scent and him holding bright red and white flowers bound together right behind me.
"These are for you." he says handing them over to me showing off his perfect teeth. "Thanks. What are they?" I ask. "Amaryllis, I would have been here sooner, but it took them a while to get here. I really do apologize for being late. I didn't mean to start our first date off like this." he says sitting down. Ugh don't remind me. "Don't worry about..." I say looking at people to the left of me, to keep myself from looking at him. "Alright so where should we begin? I'm assuming you read over what I sent you last night, correct?" he asks. My mind shoots back to last night. I had to wait for Kerry to go to sleep. I hope I read everything right I was really sleepy when I finally got to read it. I'm still a little sleepy now that I think about it.
"Yes, I read it all." I state glancing over at him. Oh my god he looks amazing. My eyes dart towards the flowers. "Is there anything you would like to talk about?" he asks reaching for the menu. My eyes leave flowers and find their way back to him. I don't know how but he looks ten times better tonight. "I think it's pretty obvious that I'd rather not have sex with you." I say lowering my voice as I watch the waiter approach us. "You must like lying to yourself." he says casually looking up to me from the menu. "Good evening, are you two ready for me to take your order?" the waiter asks. "Are you ready Lena?" Mr. Primrose asks. "Yes, I would like the chicken." I say pointing to the menu. I have no idea what anything is most of it was in french. "Good choice. Would you like for the chef to pair a wine for you? Or do you have something specific in mind?" the waiter asks me. "No the chef's choice will be fine." I say offering a smile.
"Alright, and for you sir?" he directs to Mr. Primrose. I try to listen to what he orders but he says something I don't understand. "Alright and would you like to have the chef's choice as well?" the waiter asks. "Yes that sounds wonderful, thank you." Mr. Primrose says. He really does have a sexy voice, everything he says sounds so seductive. "So do you like lying to yourself?" he directs to me as the waiter walks away. "What am I lying about?" I ask defensively. "Lena, I see the way that you look at me. The way your eyes linger over me taking in everything about me. I can tell you want me. Am I wrong?" he asks flashing a smirk.
"You are completely wrong. I may find you a little attractive but that doesn't mean I want you. I have Sterling and he's all I want." I state. He looks up at me and our eyes lock on to each other. The tension between us builds and in my peripheral I see the waiter rolling the wine cart over to our table. Our eyes stay latched onto each other he pours us wine and leaves. "You always seem to look more gorgeous every time I see you. I want you Lena Valentine." he says enticingly his words sends a chill across my body. My eyes flutter and my mind begins thinking about our hot bodies pressed together.
I close my eyes and shake my head, clearing my mind. "Sorry about that." he says shifting in his chair. "So why did you leave so quickly?" he asks, his blue eyes beam into mine and pull me back to reality. "At the party?" I ask confusedly. "Yes." he says leaning in waiting for me to respond. "It was terrible... He made us leave because of something you said, then we had a huge fight on the way home and to top it all off I ended up throwing up on myself. It was just terrib-." I stop realizing what I had just said.
"Why'd you stop talking is everything alright?" he asks his voice filled with concern. "Nothing is wrong we need to talk about this arrangement. Like I said before I'm fine with being your pretend girlfriend but I'm not having sex with you. So you can forget that, not happening." I tell him. "I don't think you mean that." he declares sipping his wine. "But I can't argue with you about that right now can I? We will eventually make love Lena. Albeit not until you feel comfortable doing it but I'm certain that won't take terribly too long." he says smugly. "You can keep feeling that but I can promise you that you're wrong." I retort trying to convince myself that that he's wrong.
