Recap:

All the air got knocked out of my lungs and my head started to get fuzzy.

Looking up at my attacker, I saw a monster.

A one eyed thing, that I was sure was going to kill me...

I've never seen a one eyed experiment, I wonder what his genetics are. I thought to myself, black starting to surround my vision.

And I passed out.

When I woke up, there was a brawl going on in front of me. The monster thing, was battling a group of people who I've never seen before, all carrying and attacking with an assorted array of weapons.

This can't be real.. I thought to myself closing my eyes again. Opening them again slowly I saw the same thing going on in front of me. I struggled to stand, the brick wall being the only thing really keeping me upright.

As I stood, a wave of nausea and dizziness hit me. "Oh Gods." I managed to say before I puked everything in my stomach onto the ground. Hey, Allis was right, Gods feels a lot more natural to say, I thought wiping my mouth with the back of my hand.

Looking back at the scene in front of me, one on the battling guys branched off and ran towards me. Concerned for my own safety, I took a step forward to get into a defensive position, only to be hit with another wave of nausea. I took a deep breath, and wrapped my arms tightly around my midsection.

"Are you okay?" A very attractive guy with the most beautiful sea green eyes asked.

"Ah.. Um.. Hi." I said blushing.

"Hi." He laughed.

Shaking my head, in the process clearing it, "Who are you? What is that thing? How long have I been passed out for? What hap-" I started ranting, only to be cut off with him chuckling.

"I can answer all of your questions after we are safe, okay? I'm Percy. And you?" He said sticking his hand out so suddenly I flinched. "Hey, I don't want to hurt you. It's just a handshake..." He said quietly, eventually putting his hand down after he realized I wasn't going to shake it.

"My name is Skylar." I said gritting my teeth in pain from moving so suddenly.

"Well Skylar, we can't necessarily get you to camp right now.. We are kinda in a all hands on deck situation." The Percy guy stated turning back to look at the other fighting teenagers. "Looks like they need help. Do you mind if I leave to help them? I'll be right back." He assured me.

"Sure. It's not like I know you." I called out as he ran off to the action. Looking around franticly, I noticed that there were three different people fighting the monster dude that attacked me earlier. The Percy dude, that weird Grover guy, the one that showed up at our apartment, and a blond girl wearing a worn out baseball cap.

"Should I help them?" I asked myself aloud. "You don't even know them. And they look like they got it handled." I said trying to assure myself.

Watching them, I was in a state of awe, I've never seen a group of people fight so in tune with each other, until Grover get thrown at another wall.

"Oh, I feel your pain buddy.. I know that hurts like a -" I froze, realizing that Allison and Melody were nowhere near me.

"Oh Gods, oh Gods, oh Gods.." I chanted under my breath as I started to hyperventilate. Clutching my hair tightly, I closed my eyes trying to calm myself.

I felt someone grab my shoulder and instantly panicking, I did what any other person would do, screamed and then judo flipped the person over my head and slammed them on the ground.

"Well that hurts." Percy groaned.

"Oh my gods, I'm sorry." I rushed out sticking my hand out to help him back up. "It's a panic thing," I explained, "and I need to find my family, do you know where they are? Of course not, you don't know them. I'm just going to get going then.. Good job killing that experiment and-"

"Hey," Percy said, grabbing my shoulders stopping me from rambling, "You'll be okay, We will help you find your family," He gestured to Grover and the woman behind him. "Do you know where they might go?"

"I think I know where they went."

What do you think? I know it's pretty short.. but it's really a filler chapter before stuff starts getting crazy. -Natalie
