3 Best Friends Save a New World

Chapter 8

This is the climax...

Dizz and our heroes awaited as they rode the elevator down to the lobby. They were now on the assassin list to kill. Now the mission was to head back to the castle and crown Emma the new princess.

How hard was that going to be?

The elevator come to a stop. Then after a couple of seconds, they were going up.

Oh yeah, never ask that question.

Nathan try to press the lobby button and other lower buttons but to no avail. The elevator hit the ninth floor, a floor up from where the knights were fighting the assassin. "We need to find the stairs and head out" Cody said.

Suddenly, the building begins to shake. The tremor was strong, they fell to the floor. As they get up, the middle of the hall exploded. "We need to go now!"

The group rushed to the other side of the hall, jumping pass the hole. Dizz, Cody, and Nathan got over, waiting on Emma. Before she could jump, the floor collapse, making the hole bigger.

That wasn't the worst part. The princess start to slide backwards. The same for the three as they were sliding farther away. The building was split in half and falling to the ground.

Emma couldn't waste anymore time. She got up and ran towards her friends. Cody and Nathan got up, ready themselves to grab their best friend. As she approach the gap, Emma took one more step then jump as high as she can. She looked at her friends, reaching her arms towards them.

But fast as lightning, the princess was grabbed in mid air. Ranzin had her over his shoulders, riding on a hoverboard. The building continue to part aways. Emma could see Frac and Drageon from the hole below laying on the floor, lifeless.

"Well I stole your princess. Have fun dying." Raizin flew off with Emma above. Cody and Nathan lost their balance and start to slide uncontrollably. They hit Dizz on their way, heading towards a window. Jumping out of a nine story drop doesn't look pretty. Doing that while one side of that building is falling is worse.

Thankfully, Dizz was working on a solution. As the three broke through the window, a ship was hovering by with the door open. All of them made it in as the ship flew off. Dizz got up quick and went to the pilot seat. Cody and Nathan stayed on the floor as they end up slamming in the wall, their body stinging from the pain.

"Quit laying there and get yo ass in a seat!" Said Dizz. The two crawled to the passenger seat behind the pilot.

"We need to get Emma back!" Nathan told Dizz. He ignored the earthling as a red dot on his radar popped up. The screen picked up Raizin riding on his board, lowing down to his ship. The ship became visible and flew off. "Not today" said Dizz, blasting off.

Nate and Cody sat back in their seat, trying to put on their chest belts. Dizz followed behind the assassin who merged into the highway.

Raizin's ship was on autopilot as he strapped Emma in her seat, tightly secure. He walked to his seat, put on his screen googles, and turn autopilot off. After that, he blast his thrusters, speeding off.

The two vehicles sway pass other ships as they chased each other. As a tunnel was coming up, a devious idea came into plan. As Raizin slowed down, letting Dizz catch up. "We got him now!" He said. Raizin smiled and pulled up above the tunnel,  making the following ship head inside. Dizz cursed himself as he fell for the trick.

The tunnel was filled up with hovercrafts moving slow. "Oh come on damn! Can we move!" Dizz yelled, honking at the vehicles. The radar couldn't pick up the trace of Raizin's ship thanks to the tunnel. Only halfway there to the exit, Dizz looked at the view behind him. A feeling in his chest was telling him something was about to go down.

As he looked, the tunnel was closing with fire burst through the top. "Serpentine missiles" he muttered out, his eyes widen.

Dizz pulled the ship start halling ass. "Hold on!"

"No need to tell us twice!" Cody said. The ship speed pass the other vehicles while did the same. The missiles were now closing in on the three, destroying everything in its way. As they reached the exit, the tunnel closed in.

Raizin watched the tunnel crumbled into smoke and debris. Emma watched as there was no sign of her friends. "Pitiful" the assassin spat out as the two fly away from the scene.

"Okay what the hell is your problem!" Emma scolded Raizin but he didn't care. A siren went off in the ship. The assassin checked the screen to see that not only the enemy's ship survived but it was closing in. Raizin growled as he flown away.

The two vehicles continue their chase in the sky. Raizin press a couple of buttons on his panel, leaving one finger on a button for when the time is right.

Dizz got close, he was sensing victory. Maybe he'll get a medal, or even better, a statue of himself. He was going to be famous. The assassin press the button.

Dizz's ship was turned off automatically and begin to descend down. "No, no, no, no. That bastard used a stun disruptor" he cried out.

The ship was spinning around and around, falling to the ground.

Jarqis has finally did the unthinkable, the unimaginable. He built a 50 story high skyscraper. But not like the other buildings. He made them out Stallica gems. After 2 crons (years), he was finally done. The first Cheleen to...

A ship crashed down on top of the building, still falling through, destroying the gem-made building.

"Come on Misty, come on!" Dizz said, getting the ship back on somehow. It didn't work. Cody and Nathan closed their eyes, held each other hand, and brace themselves to crash. But as it reached the third story, the system was back on. Dizz pulled the ship, rising it back into the sky.

Unfortunately for Jarqis, all his hard work was just like his skyscraper. Shattered into pieces.
