Get your butt outside to Liam apparently meant I'm out here already so come on let's leave, as I close the door behind me and spot the brunette already there. "Liam."
He jumps and looks over his shoulder from his spot leaning against the fence. "Hey Laurel." Liam grins cheekily, "Ready to go?"
I walk towards him as I leave my property and he does the same, "You're not going to start complaining are you?"
At first Liam looks confused before realisation crossed his face and he starts to laugh as we make our way down the street, "Your first mistake was having Holly walk."
"She said she'd be fine!" I protested through my laughing.
Immediately we were being chastised by Mr Vance for being too loud too early in the morning, "Sorry Mr Vance." Liam flashes him a grin.
"Liam Connolly." The old man acknowledges begrudgingly, "I expect this from your sister but not you."
"Sorry again Mr Vance, say hello to Yvette for me!" He calls over his shoulder as we round the corner of the street.
The last thing we hear being Mr Vance muttering about how inconsiderate to their elders young kids were becoming. "He doesn't seem to like teenagers much."
Liam scoffs, "Understatement, Yvette, his wife, is great and so nice to us then there's Mr Vance, didn't help no one liked him at school but yeah, he used to say worse things."
I shake my head at Liam's words, "Sounds like he wasn't a good teacher."
Liam shrugs as we continue on our way, "I said we didn't like him, not that he wasn't a good teacher."
I simply nod my head in response as my phone starts to vibrate in my pocket. "Sorry one moment," I apologise to Liam before answering my sisters call. "Yes?"
"I'm picking you up after school and we are getting a dress, my maid of honour needs a good one." Steph immediately begins babbling, "Buzz shoosh." I hear her scold the pug as he barks in the background, "I knew I shouldn't have left you and mum to figure your dresses out yourself." She mutters, probably half to herself.
"It's come quicker than expected Steph." I admit running a hand through my hair, at least walking with Liam was faster than when I was on my own, "So from school?"
Mind you he probably has walked this route a lot more than I ever will.
Steph's silent for a moment, "Yep, from school, don't forget Rel."
"I won't." I promise her as she continues rummaging around for something in the background, "I'll see you later."
"Yeah, that, later Laurel. We'll find the perfect dress." She says happily, and I'm sure if it weren't for the fact of the phone in her hands she would've clapped out of excitement. "Don't forget, you said you'd get a date! See you this afternoon!"
Leaving me with that comment to think about, Steph hung up on me, I shove my phone back in my pocket and look up at Liam, "Sorry about that."
Liam grins down at me then looks back to where we're walking, "All good." Is his response before we continue walking in silence, "So, it has come quicker than expected?"
I walk in silence mulling over his words confused, Liam, however, takes my silence to mean I'm unimpressed, "I mean obviously you don't have to answer or anything like that."
"Oh! Sorry, I was trying to figure out when I'd said that." I quickly get out trying to get him to stop worrying, whilst internally grimacing at how stupid that had sounded. "My sister's wedding is in two weeks and my mum and I need dresses still,"
