"It's fall, why don't we have a bit of fun?"

"But I don't wanna!" Jack wined, rolling off of the couch he was laying on and tumbling painlessly to the floor.

"You said you were bored!" Retorted Mark, one arm in the sleeve of his jacket and the other one grabbing Jack's arm to pull him to his feet.
"I was sorta suggesting we could play video games or something," grumbled Jack, looking Mark straight in the eyes and watching his cheeks turn red.

"Oh come on Jack. It's fall, why don't we have a bit of fun?" The Irish man finally broke his gaze and grabbed his hoodie off of the corner of the couch, grumbling and making Mark smirk.

...

"I still don't see how this is such a big deal," said Jack, looking down at the pile of leaves he had just raked up.

"Don't you find this at least a tiny bit fun? The cold air in your lungs and the breeze on your face?" Asked the other male, scootching his pile towards Jack's so it was a colossal leaf-pile monster.

"No. The air is making my nose runny, my hands are freezing. I can't find anything fun about this," muttered Jack, adjusting the beanie on his head and frowning down at the now giant pile of leaves.

"Oh yeah?" Mark challenged, a michevious grin growing on his face.

"Yeah," Jack retorted. Challenge accepted. The grin on Mark's face only grew as of one moment his arms were crossed and another moment outstretched and shoving the Irishman onto his buttock in the leaf pile.

"Oh it is on," Jack reached his hand up and grabbed Mark's hand, making the grin on his face disappear as he fell face first into the leaf pile, only to roll over and sit up moments later and spit leaves out of his mouth.

"Oh you little-" he grabbed a handful of leaves and threw them right into Jack's face, now making it his turn to cough and sputter.

"How dare you!" Chuckled Jack and using his foot to kick another cloud of leaves at the black haired man.

They continued throwing leaves at eachother for another hour until finally, the two men were sitting on a cold ground covered in cracked and soggy leaves, looking up at the darkening sky and the stars littering it.

"The stars are beautiful tonight, aren't they?" Asked Mark, pointing his finger up at a constellation and trailing his finger along it.

"Yeah. They are aren't they?" Jack muttered, shifting closer to Mark and sighing, pulling his hands behind his head and letting his elbows poke out.

"You just answered my question with another question," Mark chuckled, poking the smaller male in the side, causing him to laugh and turn over, looking directly at him.

"You have very pretty eyes... You know that?" mumbled Jack, reaching out and taking off Mark's glasses, setting them by his head.

"They're just brown. Nothing special..." retorted Mark, rolling over on his side as well while his cheeks were growing redder and redder, Jack moving even closer to him, making him able to feel Irish man's breath on his chin.

"No no... They're like chocolate, and if someone is close enough you can see gold," Jack's voice was even more quiet now, and he was so close, if he wanted to, Mark could lean in and kiss him.

"Of anything I would be complimenting you in your eyes, a wide mixture of blue greens, and they... they're just nice to look at," exhaling softly, he looked into the ocean blue of Jack's eyes, and then down at his lips, then back to his eyes again.

Never breaking the eye contact between them, Mark slowly intertwined his fingers with Jack's and using his other hand to move his glasses father away from him. Smiling softly, Jack used his free hand to cup Mark's face and then to move to his hair, finally pulling their heads together for a quick, yet sweet and simple kiss.

"You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that," Jack muttered, rubbing the back of the Mark's hand and licking his lips.

"I love you too Jack," chuckled Mark, sighing and giving another slight smile towards the man laying across from him.

"Can we go inside now? I'm freezing!" Jack laughed, sitting up and standing.

"Way to ruin the moment," Mark stood as well, giving a playful scowl towards the Irish man.

"Well it's not my fault my ass is numb!" He retorted, walking hand in hand with Mark back to the apartment.
