Wick: Wicket Tate is a teenage hacker. Her dad was a drug dealer, and her mother is dead. That is all I can say without giving any major spoilers.

Milo: I don't know Milo's last name. He is also a hacker and builds people's defenses for them. He and Wick are really similar in personality. I think he's about 19 or 20. His dad is either on drugs or alcohol and can be abusive when he gets in a certain mood, but Milo refuses to leave him alone. Milo only appears in the second book when Wick needs a builder for a new laptop and Griff takes her to see his. I don't know anything about Milo's mother.

Lauren: Lauren is Wick's best - and only - friend. They bonded over the messy parental situation thing. Lauren's mother is in such a state that sometimes Lauren will take a few days - sometimes a whole week - off school to care for her. Her and Wick are as close as sisters tbh.

Griff: Griff is Wick's love interest in the first book. At first they seem really good together, but Griff can't relate to Wick and therefore doesn't understand her. In the end, they break up, but it's much more complicated than you would think. He is also a hacker and did some work for the police because his cousin works there. He kind of pissed me off by the end of it. His nickname for her was Wicked.

Lily: Lily is Wick's younger sister, and used to look up to her a lot, but they started to grow apart after they got adopted by Bren (see below). It gets super annoying after a bit, but it's just kind of sad that Lily and Wick don't get along anymore, especially after how Wick would take Lily's beatings when they still lived with their father.

Bren: Bren is Lily and Wick's adopted mother. She was married but then something happened and it all went a little bit messy. She is quite wealthy and cares a lot about what people think of her. She ultra pissess me off tbh.

Old friends: By old friends I mean people Wick met whilst hacking/doing jobs for her father. Nothing more to it.

Judge Bay: An idiot who is focused on a lot in the second book as his family is a vital part of the story.

And that's basically what you need to know.
I tried to give the least amount of spoilers possible, but it's hard.
