Chapter 30!: Bump in the Road

Marie
"Pook I know your just stalling, but I don't mind doing your hair but this could have waited after the counseling"
Georgia said.

I rolled my eyes and kept looking through the magazine like I didn't hear her.

"She hear you G, I know she scared Marriage counseling is some tough shit for real" Alecie said popping a grape in her mouth. Mo laid in her lap and Alecie fed her a grape.

"I don't know what yall talking about I just wanted to dye my hair before the wedding" I said nonchalantly.

Of course I'm scared of marriage counseling, what if we don't make it. I know lots of newlyweds that don't make it. Every session we've had I've cried and so has Julian, it's hard and I knew that when I started but we've made it this far. We have two more weeks for the wedding and then that's it, we're going to officially tie the knot and there no turning back. I love Julian with all my heart and I can't see myself with anyone else.

"Me and Chris made it, yeah we're not perfect but we make it work. I know that after all this is said and done were still going to have to talk about the infidelity but that's what a marriage is about Pook" she said and popped another grape in her mouth.

"Well me and Justin are never going to be married so I don't have to worry about none of that" Mo said we all looked at her.

"Don't say that Mo, I'm sure Justin is going to ask when he's ready" I said and she shrugged.

"Yeah right, which is never. I haven't even told my dad I'm pregnant because I don't want to disappoint him. He's a good Christian man and raised me to not have a child out of wedlock. I just feel like I'm failing him." She said sniffing a little.

Alecie looked at me and I got up, we engulfed her in a hug as she cried. I didn't even know Mo was feeling like this she never mentioned it before she seemed like she was ok with being pregnant.

"Mo he might be disappointed but he will love you the same trust me. Have you talked to Justin about this?" Marie asked.

She shook her head and wiped a tear, "No not about my father, yes about marriage but it just seem like everything is happening really fast. Sometimes I agree I don't want to walk down the aisle I want to keep enjoying each other I don't want to lose what we have if we get married. Then sometimes I see how happy you guys are and I want that. I don't know I guess he knows I mean we've argued about it before so of course he know I want to be married but I don't think he knows I'm not happy" she said playing with her fingers.

"Marie we gotta wash that bleach out you hair!" Georgia said and he rushed me out the room.

I watched as Marie and Georgia left out the room, I looked at Mo.

"Mo I love my brother I really do but he is an idiot, if you don't tell him what you want then he'll never know baby" I rubbed her stomach and smiled.

"For the sake of my niece I need you to nip this in the bud now before she comes out and you have a bigger problem" I said.

She sighed, "I'm just tired, you know. I don't know what I want but I know I want to spend my life with Justin. Even if we don't make it I want to know that now before we continue and we find out later on in life that we aren't meant to be" she said and rubbed her stomach.

I looked at her, "Maybe you should tell him how you feel Mo'Nique."

She nodded, "I will...." She said and the girls came back in the room.

Marie had a towel over her head and Georgia trailed behind her.

"Well I'm glad I don't have to deal with none of that shit. I'm free as a bird" Georgia said plugging up the blow dryer.

We looked at her and laughed, "Bitch please you and Langston are going to be together yall are to perfect for each other not to be" I said and everybody laughed.

She turned the blow dryer on, "Huh? What? I can't hear you" she said blowing Pook's hair.

"Hurry up negro in starving" Julian said. We waited in the room for Langston to come out the bathroom.

The girls were at the house while we came and picked up Langston.

"Shut the fuck up with all that yelling" Langston said softly.

I chuckled, "Somebody has a hangover" I said, Langston came out the door with sunglasses on.

"A bad one..." He said rubbing his head. We laughed and walked out the room, I patted his shoulder.

He winched and I laughed, "That's what ya ass get" I said and we laughed he flicked us off.

After signing himself out we walked outside to the car. Alecie texted me and I looked at my phone, when I bumped into someone.

My phone crashed on the ground, "Fuck!" I yelled reaching for my phone

"I'm so sorry- Chris?" I paused and looked up.

"Shit" I said looking at the girl in front of me. It's the girl from the club, I can't even remember her name but here she was.

"Let's go" I said towards the guys and walked towards the car.

"Chris!" She said again but I was already in the car.

I can't believe this shit things are starting to get better with me and Alecie she's talking to be again, and this bitch isn't messing that up.

"Chris please tell me that's not who I think that is" Justin said but I ignored him and pulled out of the parking lot.
