Peter POV

Gamora turns the corner of the ship with a warm look on her face. In kind of a sneak attack, I grab her waste and the back of her neck and dip her. She giggled. Her laugh does things to me that I would never have felt. We collide into a long, passionate kiss. I feel the intensity rise and rise until we break away and I lift her back up. She smiles and gives me a peck. Then walks over to the cassette player. She clicks play and Ain't no mountain high enough by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell comes on. Almost as if on cue, Rocket turns the corner holding potted Groot. Drax follows. Gamora is the first to start dancing and the others look at her funny. The grin on my face grows when Gamora Cha chas over to me. I start dancing as well. Rocket scoffs and turns around to walk away. But Gamora and I stop him. Gamora says ironically, "Footloose." "What the hell does that mean?!" Rocket says annoyed. He shoos us away and moves down the corridor. "Oh come on guys! We are just trying to lighten up the mood!" I yell.

"Peter, it's okay. They just have a lot to think about. And so do you." Gamora starts in a nurturing tone. We move toward our room down the hall as she continues talking. "I know Thanos is the biggest thing swirling around up there. I can assure you that we will be fine." She says while moving her hand around on my back. This happens often, I get high strung, Gamora calms me down like so. We are sitting on the bed, I turn to her and say, "How can I be calm when Thanos- the most powerful being in the galaxy- is trying to kill us. And has a vendetta for you for going against him. And he wouldn't be the only person who has it out for you; your psycho adopted sister, Nebula. All we know about her is that she is down one hand." Never breaking my gaze Gamora wraps her hands in mine and says, "I love you." After the perfect amount of silence, i reply,
"I love you so much."
Authors note: perfeeeeeecct ending point! So how did u like it? I personally love The Awesome Mix and I downloaded five songs from it on iTunes. (I already had Escape by Rupert Holmes) It is the soundtrack to my liiiiiiiffee. I am way too excited about this book. I usually forget to update so a comment might help to remind me!!! 😘
