Eli- Jealousy (Gets a bit sad then gets happy again)

Ellie was walking around NH media like any other day. Her moment of peace was interrupted by Eli running over to her. "Eli oppa, annyeong," Ellie greeted. He was out of breath for some reason. "T-tell me... it isn't true..." Eli breathed. "Tell you what isn't true?" Ellie asked, concerned. "D-did you or did you not... Kiss Yonghwa?" Eli asked in  protective, brotherly way. "Yes, I did..." Ellie started. "WAAEEEE," Eli screeched. "It's for a CF, for a clothing company. It comes out in a week or so, the images leaked online," Ellie explained. "Oh... wait so you're not romantically involved with him?" Eli asked, sounding relieved. "No, waaee?" Ellie asked, teasingly. "W-well I-I just... I was worried! I saw you locking lips with this guy online and I knew nothing about it! What if people sent you hate comments or something worse, like threats?!" Eli said, exasperated. "Oppa I appreciate your concern," Ellie said then hugging Eli. She normally does this so he stops worrying/ and or yelling. "You should tell me about the men you kiss so I don't worry so much," Eli said. 

"Why do I have to tell you?" Ellie asked, confused. "Because... I'm your big brother okay? I need to know so I can help protect you," Eli said matter-of-factly. "Oppa I'm an adult you know... I can take care of myself..." Ellie started. "I know I know... I just wish you'd depend on me more. Or anyone really... You have no relatives here so I worry about you being all by yourself," Eli said protectively. "Oppa sometimes I think you're jealous of men in my life," Ellie teased. "Pssshhh no way! I'm your big brother," Eli scoffed. "Or you like me and it's a way to hide it," Ellie teased. "Ellie ah this isn't some anime you know," Eli said, slightly annoyed. "Okay, big brother. Whatever you say," Ellie said teasingly. "I'm going to go to the ladies room. Men might be in the hallway outside of the ladies room," Ellie said mockingly. "Unless you're making out with them, that's okay! Don't turn this into something ridiculous!" Eli exclaimed as Ellie started walking away."It kind of already is," Ellie said from afar. Eli scoffed, pouted a little, then went back to whatever he was doing prior. 

Ellie spent the rest of her day with Kiseop. She was writing a song with him. The two were goofing off and Kiseop was in Ellie's face, holding her cheeks and looking at her. This was joking because he was either making funny faces or pinching her cheeks. Eli came in without knocking. "Ellie ah I'd like to.. Annndddd it's happening again..." Eli said then shutting the door and leaving. "What's his deal?" Kiseop asked. "He was mad I didn't tell him I had to kiss Yonghwa in a CF.He saw a picture online and spazzed on me. He also said to tell him every time I kiss a guy because he is my big brother and he wants to protect me.We're not dating or anything, I don't need to report to him. Sure we're friends but that's it. When I confronted him on if he liked me he denied it and said he's my big brother," Ellie explained. Ohhh, yeah he's definitely jealous. He does like you, he's just too dumb to say it," Kiseop said. "Has he told you guys?" Ellie asked. "Only when he's drunk," Kiseop stated. "Must be true, he can't lie when he is drunk," Ellie said. "Wel I'm going to say something and if he is being stupid then I'm just going to not talk to him anymore," Ellie said. "Good luck," Kiseop cheered. 

Ellie found Eli sitting on a chair in one of the rooms. "Oppa, come here," Ellie said. Eli got up and wet over to her. "Oh the kissing fool... What is it?" Eli sneered. "First of all... I never kissed Kiseop and probably never will. We were playing and he was grabbing my face. Second of all, I'm a grown woman I can kiss men. I don't need to report to you like you're my boss. You're not my boyfriend and your behavior has been quite short of brotherly. Third, either own up to you liking me in a way a man likes a woman, or just back off because it's too much and a strain on our friendship." Ellie said firmly. "Fine I'll back off..." Eli scoffed, then walking out of the room. "Thank you," Ellie called out. It sounded like she was fine with what happened, but she wasn't. She sat on the floor and started to cry. She always liked Kiseop in a romantic way, and he won't own up to it (whether he likes her or not). Kiseop and Kevin came in the room and saw her crying. They comforted her and things got better, but Ellie was still sad. 

Days went on, but not much changed between Ellie and Eli. Well actually, things did change... In the worst way. Eli was being distant with Ellie and only being cordial during work. They were best friends up until that stupid argument, so it made Ellie sad. Ellie was a bit mopey and the boys of U-kiss were somewhat annoyed at what was going on. They were mad Eli won't own up to the fact he likes Ellie, it's so obvious! He's clearly acting like a child. Ellie was getting sick of it so she decided she was just going to confess her feelings, for better or worse. She got Kiseop to get Eli to meet "him" in one of the rooms in the building. He saw only Ellie was there so he sighed. "What is it? Why did you get Kiseop to lure me out of here?" Eli asked, sounding annoyed. 

"Okay... I want to apologize for making you mad that day we argued. But I also want to get something off my chest, if that's okay," Ellie started. Eli's gaze softened, he didn't look annoyed. "I was mad you were acting like a jealous boyfriend because I like you in that way. And when you said you are like my brother it hurt worse. So as a coping mechanism I was joking around to make myself feel better. It clearly caused a rift between us so I thought I'd at least say how I felt. If you feel the same way, great. If not, okay... But please still be my friend. I don't like this distance between us," Ellie admitted. Eli looked at Ellie in a gentle way, but she couldn't tell if he was being kind or if he liked her back. She couldn't read his expression. Eli hugged Ellie and said "Thanks for telling me," softly in her ear. Ellie felt rejected, her body felt cold and numb. Had she made a mistake?

"Can I tell you how I feel now?" Eli asked, loosening the hug and looking down at her. Ellie nodded meekly. "I like you too... I'm just really hesitant..." Eli confessed. "Why are you hesitant?" Ellie asked. Eli sighed as if he was remembering something painful. "My last girlfriend was someone I loved dearly. She was a lot like you... She wouldn't let me protect her, she was stubborn... And she died... So that's why I'm hesitant," Eli said sadly. "Oppa I..." Ellie started. "Her health was failing and she never did listen to me about getting regular doctor check ups. Turns out she had brain cancer. After a while, she didn't even remember anything or anyone, or herself... And she died," Eli said woefully. "Oppa... That's awful," Ellie said sadly, crying a little. "So I'm protective due to that. I wrote 0330 for her... Why are you crying?" Eli started to say, then asked oddly. "I'm sad you had to go through that oppa. Is it so wrong?" Ellie asked. "N-no..." Eli said softly, then wiping her tears away. 

"Well, if we both compromise... If I accept that you are a bit protective and you try to be a little less overbearing, this would be just fine. What do you think, oppa?" Ellie asked kindly. Eli smiled down at her and held her face in his hands. "I think that will do just fine," Eli said gently. Eli kissed her lips tenderly, Ellie kissed back and got closer to Eli. Eli wrapped his arms around her and Ellie put her hands in his hair. The two kissed in this gentle, assuring, safe way for quite some time. The two parted after some time, panting slightly. Eli still held her in his arms, looking down at her. Eli rested his forehead on Ellie's. "You're mine now, you hear?" Eli said. "Of course oppa," Ellie said with a giggle. "Thank you, jagi... Thank you for being you. You're so patient," Eli said softly to her."Anything for you," Ellie said cutely. "So, any more men you have to kiss beside me this week?" Eli asked, joking yet serious. "No not this week," Ellie said, rolling her eyes. "Good," Eli murmured, before giving her another kiss.
