The best friend and the boyfriend

Chapter 16

It is a nice hug . Warm and comforting . Am I so weird that I am describing a hug ?
He pulls away and gives a another grin before walking into the house .
"Sam is it the food ? "Louis calls out .
"Nope it's Niall !" I shout back .
I hear a crash and then liam comes running to hug Niall .
It is adorable .
We all head towards the couches and then the bell rings again . This time I knew it was the food so I hurry to open the door . And yes on the other side is the driver with the food. I take it from him and thank him like 3 times . He just chuckles and goes away .
I take it to the kitchen and empty it into containers and call all the boys for dinner .
"Wait for me ! Don't start without me guys ! " I hear Niall's voice from the top of the staircase ,he probably went to freshen up . He rushes down the stairs and almost crashes into me . I offer him a plate and he gives me another big grin which makes me weak in the knees .
We all take the food and sit on the couches . We watch spongebob, because why not ?
Soon dinner is over and Harry and Niall take all the plates to the kitchen.
Harry sits next to me and pulls me onto his lap and I cuddle into his chest .
They are talking about some unimportant things and their first album is releasing in about 14 hours . Which is super freaking exciting .
I take my kindle and start reading and after a few chapters I get up and say goodnight to everyone . Louis asks for a little forehead kiss and I give him just that before heading up the stairs .

HARRY'S POV :

After we all had dinner , me and Niall carried the plates to the sink .
I headed back to the couch and pulled Sam onto my lap and she burrowed her face in my chest .
I feel a protective feeling wash over me and I wrap my arms around her . I continue the conversation with the boys and notice Niall looking at Sam with an intrigued look on his face . All of a sudden he blushes , I think , because it's hard to tell with him , his cheeks are always red . He suddenly looks away from us . What's that all about . We all start talking about the album release , and to say we are scared out of our mind would be an understatement. We don't know how it will be received or whether it will do well . We just want our fans to like it .
After Sam goes up to sleep we all talk for a while about the album and then one by one we head off to sleep .
I enter my room and see Sam curled up in the middle of the bed with her kindle still in her hand . I take it away from her and put it on the side table and then tuck her under the covers before getting in with her , and soon after that I drift off to sleep . Sometime in the middle of the night I hear a whimpering sound and I feel her shaking in my arms . I get up immediately and see that Sam is shaking and from a nightmare probably and I wake her up as gently as possible . "Wake up Sam , it's just a dream , I am here for you . Please wake up ." Her eyes slowly open and I see vulnerability in them . She nuzzles her face into my chest and apologises for waking me up . I shake my head ," Don't be silly . You don't have to apologise , it's not your fault ." I tuck her back in and humm a tune to help her sleep . I hate the fact that her asshole of an ex did this to her . She was one of the strongest people I knew before all the crap he put her through . But at least I am here for her . And I am glad she'll be there on tour with us . With these thoughts in my head I pull her closer and fall asleep .
