It felt weird without Josh. They had been best friends since 3rd grade, and now, no one knew where he was. He could've been eaten by a wendigo, or worse, he could've become a wendigo.
Chris couldn't imagine living without him. Now he had to.
All of Josh's old stuff was still in the dorm room. His clothes were strewn around the room, his bed wasn't made, his desk was untidy as usual. Chris couldn't bare to get rid of it all. The memories hurt, but they also healed.
Chris packed his bag, and opened the door to get to class, but Ash was in his way.
"Chris. Look." She said. She held up a newspaper.
"That's... Us? I don't understand." Said Chris.
"Look!" Ash pointed to a certain bit in the article about the lodge survivors. It said some scientists had come up with som kind of antidote for being a wendigo.
"A wendigo antidote?" Asked Chris. "A... Wendidote?"
"Yes! With this, we could heal Hannah!" Said Ash excitedly.
"Ash, we can't do that. We can't just go up Washington Mountain with this... Anti-C stuff." Chris said.
"We can't." Said Ash with a gleam in her eye, "But Sam can."

"Guys, that's a stupid idea." Said Sam. "I'd get killed."
"Sam, we could save Hannah!" Said Ash. "Your best friend!"
"Ash, I'm kinda with Sam on this one." Chris said. "I mean, they haven't even tested it. It might not even work."
"Come on, guys!" Chris could tell Ash was starting to get annoyed. "We could get Hannah back!"
Sam pondered the idea for a bit.
"Well, I guess I've done crazier things. And now we know how to protect ourselves from the wendigos..."
"YES!" Shouted Ash, punching the air.
"But I'm not doing it alone. You guys are coming along."
"What?" Said Chris. "Sam, we'd get killed."
"But I'd be with you." She said, "I'll protect you guys."
"C'mon, Chris!" Said Ash.
Then he realized. If he went back to the mountain, and Josh was still alive, he could save him.
"Alright. I'm in." He said.
"YEAH!" Said Ash. "Next stop: Washington Mountain!"
