"I'm never dating a guy again for as long as I live." Blake's best friend Casey screamed as she barged into their dorm room, slamming the door shut behind her, and slinging herself on Blake's bed, causing the bed to move against the wall."
"Who did what now?" Blake asked, sitting up on her bed, her revision notes crumpling with the sudden movement.
"Ashton. He's what happened." She cried. Blame rolled het eyes, knowing that this was all going to blow over in a day or two. Blake shifted on her bed, that she was now sitting next to a crying Casey, who's swearing under her breath. "It's not the end of the world Case" Blake said soothingly while rubbing circles in her back.
"But we were going to move in together, get married..." She said, drifting off.
"Case... your only 18... moving in together is likely... but marriage? Unlikely."
"Is that all your going to say? No, he's a jerk and you'll get over him? Some friend you are?" She scoffed. Blake frowned at the sudden turn of events but her besti was busy going through a bad time, so she needs a little support. But she wasn't surprised that Casey is acting like this. She is a very self opinionated woman, and that is where our friendship started.
"I'm sorry Case" Blake said. "Should I kick he's ass or..?"
Casey started laughing, but Blake could see its put on. "Why don't we invite some friends over tonight and watch a movie." Blake suggested. Casey lifted her head and propped herself up on her end elbow. She sniffed once and smiled a toothy smile. "Okay" She said getting up off the bed. "But" She started, walking over to her bed and pulling our her pink laptop that was under her bright yellow cushion. "I get to invite the people" She tried bargaining. Blake thought for a moment. The last time that Casey invited her friends, there was a goat on the roof, people passed out in their yard, couples making out, and the house was trashed. And Blake woke up to a random dude sleeping next to her. So, forgive Blake if she thinks that she should control what's gonna happen.
"It's not going to be a party." Casey tried again. Seeing Blake frown. "You get to okay the list."
"Fine"
"Seriously?"
"Yea.. I think what happened last time won't happen again. I don't want to wake up next to another random stranger. But this isn't a party. You get to invite 5 people. That's it. Deal?" Blake said, walking towards the bedroom door. "And you have to confirm it with Danielle and Siege." And with that, Blake walked out of the room. Casey groaned loudly as she walked down the passage towards their roommates room.
This is gonna be good.
Knock knock
"I'm coming!" Blake yelled from the kitchen.
Knock knock
"I'm coming! Who pissed in your cheereos?" Blake yelled when someone knocked again. She started running towards the door swearing that if that person knocks one more time she will end them. She slipped on the carpet and got bad carpet burn. She stood up, cursing the stupid floor and finaly got to the front door.
"What!?" She spat as she opened the door. Her breath caught in her throat as she looked at the Greek God standing in front of her. He smiled and she frowned, remembering her knee that now has carpet burns. Thanks a lot, incredibly Hot guy that may or may not be arriving in my dreams for a couple of nights.. Blake thought.
"Hello?" He asked her with a smirk. He knew that she was checking him out and he didn't seem to have minded.
"Yea?" Blake asked, as she was shipped back to earth. He held out his hand for her to shake, she hesitated but took it anyway, sparks erupting through her hand and took her hand away surprised at the shock. He also withdrew his hand, staring disbelieving at Blake. "Wow" Blake breathed, and took a step back.
"I'm James" He offered with a smile brighter than before.
"I'm Blake" She said, still a little bit nervous. His smile only widened and she felt this unclear pull towards him.
"Is this the Burcophs estate? I need to speak to Emelia" He asked sweetly.
"Why do you want her?" Blake asked curious. Nobody usually comes to the house anymore. Not since her gran died.
He tensed up and she saw something, a unknown emotion in his eyes. But as quick as it came, it was gone again."I need to handle some pack- uhh family business. You see your gran has something of ours that is of great value. I'm here to ask for it back. So can I please talk to her now?"
"No" Blake choked, remembering the loss of the only mother she's ever had.
"My grandmother passed away last month.""Your grandmother? He asked, completely caught off gaurd at this unexpected mood." Your Emelia Burcophs granddaughter?"
Blake frowned at his behavior and nodded her head. "What is it your looking for?" She asked him, wanting to get this over and done with.
"A necklace... and a diary." He said, scanning Blake's body up and down. "You look like her
