So maybe I've had a long night;
I have a lot of doubts, and a lot of dark thoughts.
I just need her with me.
She blocks out the darkness
And replaces it with light.
My doubts and fears feel nonexistent,
And instead I think of how perfect it feels
To be with her, to be near her.
And to feel like things are going to be this way,
Forever,
Is one of the greatest feelings in the world.
So maybe I've had a long night;
And I have a lot of doubts, and a lot of dark thoughts.
But things will get better.
I have her, and someday,
Sooner rather than later,
Those long nights will be no more,
Or at least rarer,
But when they do happen,
All I have to do is turn around
And she'll be right there behind me.
