"Alright! Can you give me a smile, please? Like a really, really happy smile! You're getting married!" I instructed the couple. We were at the backyard of a church. Filled with pretty flowers and trees. Not to mention the gazebo. Perfect location for a prenup.
Looking at them, I wondered if this was the future for David and I. Wouldn't it be great to be with David forever, 'til death do us part? Me tying his necktie every morning, giving him a goodbye kiss. Taking care of our babies. Looks like a pretty good future to me.
"Okay, guys. Those were perfect. You want to take a rest? Water break?"
My phone beeped. I have a new text.
Turn around. It's from David.
I turned around and there he is.
"Done with work already? It's just five o'clock." I asked him. His time off was six in the afternoon.
"I wanted to see you in action." He said, giving me a kiss on the cheek.
"Really? Or you just wanted to get off work early? Too much stress?"
"Yeah... But I haven't seen you in a photoshoot before so I'm curious."
"Oh? Well, you shouldn't over work yourself, David. We've already talked about this before."
"Yes, Ma'am. That's why I'm here."
"Okay. Then, stay here at the back for a while. I just need to finish this up then we'll go to the mall to get some dinner. What do you think?"
"Sounds good to me."
After an hour of picture taking, the photoshoot finally came to an end.
"That's a wrap you guys! Good job!" I told them.
"Thank you so much, Andrea. You'll still take pictures on our actual wedding right?" The groom asked.
"Of course! It's part of the package."
"Thank you! Can't wait to see how the pictures come out!" The bride said, very excited.
"I'm sure it'll come out great."
"Thanks again!" They got their bags and left, holding hands and all lovey dovey.
When I finished packing all of my equipment, I called out to David and told him that we could go. He lit up, probably because he was really hungry. I should've given him something to eat. What kind of girlfriend am I?
A really bad one. I know. I'm sorry, David.
As we were leaving the church grounds, I heard a familiar voice calling out.
It was Kyle and his girlfriend, Monique.
"Andrea, I never thought I'd see you again." He greeted me, giving me a small hug.
"Me too."
"You remember Monique?"
"Yes, of course! Monique! How are you?" I asked her, giving her a hug as well. "This is my boyfriend, David. David, these are my old... friends, Kyle and Monique."
"It's nice to meet you." David politely said, shaking both their hands.
"What are you guys doing here?" I asked Kyle and Monique.
"Oh! Well, we're getting married!" Monique exclaimed, big smile on her face.
David and I congratulated them immediately. How nice, right?
Not so much.
"Well, you guys. We have to go. It's so nice seeing you." I told them, dragging David away before I burst.
