I've been in and out of department stores for like three hours now. I am a picky person so not many things caught my eyes. Some dresses were too skimpy and I had no intention to dress like a slut. While others were old fashion or didn't suit my taste. But I kept ending up with the same end result. So here I am walking around the mall like a moron to find a dress that looked appealing to me.Macy's is one of the few stores I enjoy shopping at. You can find everything there, the only problem is the price. Here I thought Macy's would reduce the original price that a company sold their products but nope. Every designer brand that was sold there was expensive. Money was what I didn't have much of or any. My bank account is on zerooo. My dad gave me money but I can't always depend on him. I need my own money and with that independence. I am going to college soon, so the sooner I start taking up responsibility the better.
So here I am entering Macy's but with no high hopes of purchasing anything.
The junior section had plenty of dresses that I found appealing, however some were way out of my price range. Out of the many jaw dropping dresses I spotted a dark navy blue lace one. I walked over to where the dress stood on the rack and took it off. While I analyzed the dress I noticed how remarkably beautiful it was. It had a mermaid touch to it at the bottom that bought out the neatly stitched features. It reminded me of a wedding dress or something a Disney princess would wear.
I took it and went to the fitting room to try it on.
The sides were cut out which made the little curve I had noticeable. The dress reached over my top of my breast so it didn't show much cleavage and I was thankful that. There was no straps. It was really like a bridal dress. My favorite thing about the dress was the silver glitter that covered it near the end of the dress. I looked absolutely gorgeous in it and that made me feel confident. Which boosted my self esteem.
While I took off the dress I kept thinking to myself how much is the dress? How much is the dress? When I finally did take it off and looked at the price tag my heart dropped.
"Dear Lord, I want you thank you for always listening to my prayers. You are truly amazing. Because of you I can manage to pay for the dress because it was in my price range." I said out loud looking at the ceiling.
I was so relieved when I read what the price tag stated. I thought it would be at least $250 but nope God seen me through and the dress was $120.
Later I went to a shoe store and bought a pair of silver heels to go with the dress. Nothing too fancy because who was going to see it with that long dress I was going to wear.
When I got home It was getting dark out. I went to the bathroom and took care of my hygiene. Later that night I texted Layt.
Heyyy
What's up babe?
Nothing much.
How was your day?
My day was really good. I found a dress today and it is absolutely gorgeous. Yay. How was your day? I texted Layt smiling super hard.
My day went reasonably well. I'm glad you found your dress. Now we can go shopping on Friday after school for my suit. I'll pick you up from your house around 2:30.
