My name is Kiera.

I'm a sixteen, almost seventeen year old human.

But let's be honest, being human suck's. Well, in this day and age it does.

Werewolves took over the earth centuries ago, Vampire's, Witches and Wizards are merrily enjoying the freedom, with the Werewolf rule.

The earth's land and sea's have been split into different district's, each district with a certain type of Werewolf 'pack'.

They're many, over a thousand if I remember correctly, and then there's Dead Man Land.

Dead Man Land that is said to be a place where anyone can go, and be free, human, werewolf, vampire, anyone. You live your life in solitude and peace... the tricky part is getting there.

To get there, from where I live you have to cross three districts, which doesn't seem much, but think of it this way, there are mythical creatures, ready to pounce to either devour you, take you and hold you captive, violate you or even kill you on the spot for fun.

I tend to keep my expression emotionless, in this line of business, you can't do much besides work and keep your head down.

My current master, a Werewolf lord for the Craine park, that has around two hundred Wolves in it, so quite a small pack, is nice... I guess.

He gives us food, provides shelter and doesn't do anything to us, besides look out for us, he's an remarkable man-wolf. One of a kind, Matilda say's anyway.

I continue my way in the library, after doing all the tasks my master has set for me today, I was allowed to roam as I please- in the library. I pulled out book, Romeo & Juliet, one of my favourite book's in here.

I sat on a chair, opening the book, that's when the door to the library burst open. I looked up to see Rolan running in, "Fire! We're under attack! They're trying to smoke us o-" he fell to the ground and I ran over to him, finding a silver stake in his back... he wasn't moving.

My jaw drops and I looked into the corridor, flames and screams filling the mansion, how could I not notice?!

I ran straight into the corridor, I must save Master, that or he'll die. I ran up the marble stair case, screams of the pack I serve echoing with the flames, the whole village must be under attack. I burst through the chamber door's, "Master! We're-" I stopped, seeing a women turn and smirk at me, holding a silver dagger.

"Kiera... run" my master gurgles, he was spread out like a star, blood everywhere, "Kiera... hmm... lovely name... for a dead girl" I narrowed my eyes at her and she run's at me, I run to, thanking master for the lessons of battle he had put all humans through.

I flipped over her, turning and slamming my palm into the back of her head, she stumbles forward in shock, dropping the silver dagger, she turn's, "Witch" I watched her, she smirks, "Glad to see my kind isn't known around here"

"What?"

Instead of answering she flicks her wrist and i'm thrown back, I hit the wall and fall onto my master's bed and landed next to him, she walked forward, ready to kill me. Without a second thought I threw the vase forward, it cracked and exploded as it hit her.

She screams in agony, steam coming from her wounded form- water. A witches enemy, my new friend.

I took one look at my master's body and made a split decision, he was still breathing. I grabbed him, ignoring the screaming witch as she tried to dry off and was about to move him when his eyes snapped open, "Leave"

"But Alpha-" "That is an order" he growls.

I bowed my head, "It was lovely to work for you sir"

With that I ran for the window, I jumped, colliding with the glass and causing it to shatter, then I fell downwards with the glass shards, the heat of the fire on my back as I closed my eyes, she wasn't a witch. She was an Enchantress.

My Master was killed, the pack I served Alpha... what will become of me?

The I hit the ground, and it was light's out.
