"What's up with the stupid grin?" Gia asked me as we were walking down the hallway to our next class.

"What grin?" I asked her innocently.

"Don't play innocent or I'm going to smack you with- Oh my gosh!" I was startled by her sudden burst of excitement.

"Is leo functioning now?" Didn't I tell her that he is? Oh well, my bad.

"Yes, yes he is." She is now eyeing me evilly.

"Since when?" Here comes the I-don't-give-a-fuck-just-answer-all-my-stupid-questions gia.

"Uhh, 2 weeks ago?" She stopped in the middle of the hallway making so much commotion that people passing through is glaring at her.

I snatched her arm and dragged her until we reach our classroom.

"Why didn't you tell me?" She was pouting and it looks so irritating that I wanted to cut her lips so she cannot pout again.

Nah, just joking.

But she definitely looks irritating.

"I forgot?" Well, that was the truth.

"Can I visit after class?" Here comes the enthusiastic, puppy eyed gia.

"Sure, why not? Mom says she miss having you around the house." We both sat on our seats and gia smiled at me after hearing that mom misses her.

Gia's mom was dad's laboratory partner, who also died during the accident.

We both know how it feels like losing a parent, so after the incident mom decided to invite gia occasionally to cheer her up.

Later that day

The bell rang signalizing the end of classes. I'm mentally and physically exhausted as I made my way out of the classroom and arranging my things as I was walking.

Gia was outside my room; I smiled at her and walked to where she is.

When I finally reached her, I noticed that she was with someone; a certain girl whom I deeply dislike.

"Uhm. Hi." I smiled at her (one hell of a fake smile of course).

"Lea, I'm bringing Sam with me today. I hope you don't mind?" She was smiling like an idiot.

I wanted to slap her with a broom.

"No. I don't. I surely don't." I hope she notices the sarcasm dripping in my voice and my fakest smile in addition.

"Yay! Then let's go now shall we?" She held onto my arm, and believe me I wanted to roll down on the stairs and fake an injury than be with this Sam girl.

But you know, I love my life.

The bus ride was definitely one of the longest rides of my life. I was so bored because Gia and Sam were talking to each other making me feel invincible.

I was so relieved when we finally got in the street where our house is located.

Upon entering the house and announcing my arrival, I let Sam sit on the couch while excusing me and Gia.

Dragging Gia with me on the kitchen.

"What the hell were you actually thinking?! Bringing her with you?! That was so irritating!" I keep my voice down for I don't want Sam to hear.

"She's a nice girl Lea! Just let her get close to you." She was eyeing me again evilly.

"She is a nice girl? Wow. She broke my toy, oh scratch that, my favourite toy when we were kids and told her mom that she didn't break it on purpose. She called me a bitch when we were high school, spilled soda on my shirt and dumped Chinese fast food on my bag! Yes Gia, she is a nice girl." I'm seriously slapping Gia with a broom if she ever defends that Sam girl again.
