After that incident, Gia didn't talk to me. I didn't either.

I was breathing heavily whilst Gia and Sam collected their things in the living room. Gia looked at me before going out of the house with a sad face that haunted me that night.

I was so worried and frustrated for about a week.

Leo even saw me crying last night because I miss Gia.

I know I was such a bitch for suddenly snapping at both of them but when Sam said that Leo was hot. I lost all of it.

I guess I'm overprotective like that.

After class, I decided to talk to Gia. Because nothing will happen if I keep on letting my pride get to me.

I was so nervous as I was about to approach her.

"Hi." I smiled sheepishly at her, but Gia was busy arranging her things.

"You're right." She suddenly muttered.

"What?" She was speaking to softly and I can't hear a thing.

"I said, you're right" She faced me, her eyes are puffy and tears were forming on her eyes.

"It took you one week, you little shit." She sniffed and hugged me. I hugged her in return and cried because I was so happy.

"Let's stop this. I look like a squirrel when I cry." Gia wiped her tears away and slapped my arm.

We both laugh, when I suddenly remember what she was saying a while ago.

"Hey, what were you saying a while ago? I was right? About what?" Gia's face suddenly turned all gloomy and and furious.

"That Sam was a mean witch." Gia looked so angry, she was even clenching her fist so tight.

"What happened?" I was curious because after I snapped at both of them. I haven't seen them together at school. Sam even pretended she doesn't know me when we pass by each other at the corridors. She avoided any eye contact.

"She called you a mean little bitch, a freak and an asshole when you snapped at us. She even told me that you do not deserve her kindness and apology after all. That you are a weird girl who will grow old because you are so grumpy, and—" I cut her off.

"Yeah right. It's as if I wasn't aware of those things. So, what did you do to make her avoid me so much?" Gia smirked at my question.

"I slapped her with a broom." We were quiet for a second, and after that, we both burst into laughter. Eyes filled with tears. Hands on our stomachs as we were slapping each other's arms.

"YOU *laugh* WH- *laugh* WHAT??!" We are currently catching attention but who cares?

"I SLAPPED HER! WITH A BROOM! SHE DESERVES IT! NOBODY CALLS YOU THOSE MEAN NICKNAMES OTHER THAN ME!" We both stopped laughing and smiled at each other.

"Welcome back, bestfriend."

We hugged each other and cried some more.

After school, I invited Gia to hang out at my place.

I left her in the living room, because I was doing a grilled cheese sandwich (I had a trauma with peanut butter after what happened) when I heard a faint laugh coming from the living room.

I finished the sandwiches and headed straight to the living room, where I saw Gia sitting on the sofa holding a photo album with Leo beside her smiling like an idiot.
