**As always, hope you enjoy!
The plane had landed outside of a stunning castle and grounds that spread out before me.
** OK so here's a link for what I picture the castle as. Right now I just don't feel like describing it all... anyways the link is: http://www.herstmonceux-castle.com/ or you can google the castle for more pictures of it! I saw the picture of this castle and went OMG PERFECT! I was pumped :))**
I saw other people around my age getting off of three other planes. Most of them merged with my group while the older looking ones immediately set off for the castle. Some of them had a danger radiating from them. I wouldn't want to get in a fight with any of them. They didn't look like they were afraid of anything.
"Welcome to Eclipse. If you will please follow me we need to be on our way." I turned around to look at the person who had just spoken. She had one of those voices that simply command attention. My dad's voice would get like that sometimes. It was always right before... NO! I can't think about that right now. I have finally escaped from him, and he should be locked away forever in my memory. "I am Maya Abendroth, headmistress. Your things have already been placed in your room for you. If you follow me to your rooms, you will find that you have a roommate. Each of your names is posted on your doors." With that she turned around and walked away.
The headmistress of this school is pretty much what I expected her to be. Her black hair is slicked back into a tight pony tail. The gray in her hair simply adds to the force that goes hand in hand with her presence. She has on a navy blue suit that is perfectly tailored to her body. She seems so graceful, and yet at the same time I know she could strike at any second. There's something about the way that she carries her body that emanates power and control.
I hope I can have that much control over my body by the end of all this. I can't imagine what it would be like to have all that power at your disposal simply using your body. Even her piercing blue eyes had the same effect as the rest of her.
As we walked through the halls, I couldn't help but gape at all that's around me. There was a certain refined elegance to everything. The school wasn't grotesquely over-furnished, but at the same time it was definitely obvious that this school had some major cash.
Headmistress Abendroth led us at a brisk pace up three flights of stairs before she started showing people their rooms. Although showing probably isn't the right word. It was more of a calling out the names of the people in groups for them to find their rooms. As soon as she finished the names she would immediately move on.
Lexie and I ended up being two of six girls left along with the five guys she and I hung out with on the plane and... you guessed it... Blade. The headmistress took us down a hall on the right to stand in front of a tapestry. "Boys, you already know that you are the elite of your grade. Thank you for returning this year. Girls, after much consideration, you six have been chosen as the current elite for your grade. However, that will probably not hold true for the entire year." She pulled back the tapestry to reveal a heavy wooden door. "You twelve will be the only ones with keys to this door out of your grades." She opened the door and we walked in.
We walked straight into a lounge that was just calling out to be relaxed in. The floors were a white plush carpet, and the walls were white but they had all kinds of intricate designs on them. There were two groups of U shaped couches that were back to back. There was a flat screen TV in front of each of them. I wanted to go and lay on the couches now, they looked so comfortable. There were chairs and bean bags scattered all over the room.
"As the elite of your grade, much will be expected of you. This area is meant to be your sanctuary. You are of course allowed to spend time with others in your grade, but they are not to come into this area. This is a sanctuary for you and you alone. Shea, Lexie, Blade, and Blane come with me. The rest of you can find your rooms." Lexie and I exchanged a confused glance, but followed the headmistress. She led us to the back corner of the lounge area and handed us each another key. She then opened the next door and led us into a much smaller lounge. There was only one U-shaped couch and a TV. There was a door on each side of room.
