Cassandra’s POV:

I woke up to someone shaking my shoulders. Ughhh… what do they want now? I slowly peeled my eyes open to find my sister, Kathryn holding me by the shoulders while shaking me. What the heck is with her? Here I am peacefully sleeping while dreaming of a mysterious guy and she interrupts me? Oh God what am I thinking now? Stop thinking about the mysterious hot guy Cass! Stop it! You don’t even know if he is real or who he even is! He’s a damn stranger, you might get in danger! I was pulled out from my thoughts when I heard her screech my name out loud. Ugh, I just completely zoned out on her again, well it happens all the time…  :/

“Earth to Cassandra!” my sister said in a high pitched voice.

“Huh? Oh sorry, I just accidentally zoned out. What do you want now Kath? I softly asked her.

“Well duh! We’ve already arrived to our new home and mom told me to wake you up. Then when you woke up, you suddenly had a faraway look in your eyes and you won’t even listen to me. Damn it! What’s wrong with you?” she kept rambling and asking me looking annoyed.

Oh I didn’t know we’re here already. Well that’s weird; I’ve slept the whole ride? Damn, I haven’t slept that long in what seems like forever. The perks of being in high school, tsk, you always get tired. You don’t get much time for yourself.

“Well I’m sorry, why can’t you be just a little nicer to me? I’m your sister and I’m older than you, I tried to be so nice to you but you just hate me more and more…” I told her sadly. I saw sadness and jealousy shown in her eyes but suddenly, she replaced it with a cold hard one.

“I don’t care if you’re my sister or if you’re older than me! I can do whatever the hell I want to okay?!” by now she was screaming at me.

“That’s it! I’m so sick and tired of putting up with you… I love you sis but you’re just so spoiled and inconsiderate.” I looked at her sadly and saw remorse and guilt in her eyes.

I’m just really tired, I can’t take her anymore. I don’t want to lash out at my own sister and I really don’t want to get into trouble when she tells mom and dad. They would probably go by her side again and believe her and I won’t have anyone to support me. I was always the one isolated in the family. What a pity. My life is just useless… I grabbed my bags and walked out the door of the van and slammed it roughly leaving my sister alone in the car.

When I walked outside the van, I looked around my surroundings and saw that we were in a beautiful subdivision. Wow! This place sure is beautiful! There was even a basketball court, badminton court, football field, volleyball court and their own park! Maybe I can enjoy it here. I saw lots of people jogging or either biking, I looked forward and ran inside the large gothic gates and saw our supposed-to-be new house then suddenly my mouth dropped to the ground! Damn, this house is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen! It’ so gorgeous! It was 3 floors high. I can’t believe we are going to live in this enormous modern-looking mansion! Oh wait, have I mentioned there’s a huge pool too with a beautiful garden in front! And I thought it can’t get any better. As I went inside the house, I was even more fascinated. There were paintings on the walls, beautiful vases with flowers and other antique things! There was a huge flat screen TV in the living room and it was fully furnished! This place looks so amazing! So this is what my parents have been saving for the past few years! And it was finally finished building. I’m glad they worked hard for it. When I completely walked inside the living room, I saw unfamiliar faces of people who I’m guessing are my relatives. And damn, there are a lot of them! I didn’t know our family would be this big. Some of them started running towards me and enveloped me in a hug. I couldn’t breathe from being hugged too tightly and it’s a good thing that my aunt Lourdes noticed it and told my other relatives to back away.
