She was staring down at the floor wondering what to do and how to escape. She couldn't help but to cry she sat there crying until. Jake came up to her.
"Are you ok?" he asked.
"No" she replied.
Silence spread across the room until they heard the man come in.
"We have to go." he said giving them a drink. "The cops are here. Take a drink or you get beaten later."
They both took a drink, and started to get tired. Though before they fell asleep they saw him open a hatch with some sort of key he stuck in the pole. The man took them into the hatch.
"Huh, where am I" said Maddie waking up.
"Oh your in a new place where the cops will never find you." said the man with a smirk.
He got up and left.
"Jake?" she said looking across the room. He was no where to be seen. She looked under the bed and saw him, huddled up into a ball. She decided to leave him alone. She was so tired, beaten, hungry.
" Oh, mother why did you have to die." she said to herself drifting off to sleep.
