The citizens of New Netherlands looked to New Amsterdam's sprawling skyline, beautiful crisp air, and beautiful vistas as a paradise of sorts, never touched by the greed and vices of America. They were wrong.

New Amsterdam was nothing like people remember.

Men landed on its shores with desires of power over the Hudson River, the Five Points, and the whole of New Netherlands. The tallest and most desired place at the time was a massive tower built from marble and ivory columns. Children would be taught about its majesty and splendor. It was a source of prosperity and the success of a society willing to turn a blind eye to the masses that built it.

When Lucas, a runaway slave, discovered secrets about the tower and about the world hidden in the depths, it would only be a matter of time before the world they hoped to subdue would rise up. There's a reason why the tower survived, but no one's legacies did. Witness New Amsterdam's painful destruction as the city turns on its head at one of the most crucial moments in American history.

That is the story I have planned, at least for now. I hope to continue writing this, with the rough draft of course, as soon as possible. I hope you guys enjoy it. Let me know if you want it by messaging me in the comments.
