I looked at my phone. No more texts from Melody. Our little fights were getting worse. I looked at the time on my phone. A lazy Sunday with no one to share it with. All my friends were in detention. This was terrible but Melody.. well.. say hi to being single!!

My parents were out and I was bored. I didn't do home economics so breakfast equals take away.

I walked down the street. There was a sandwich stand down the road. I had to wait in line but the girl in front. (That ass!) She was beautiful and she was whistling see you again. I loved that song. After I got my sandwich I looked over to a near by bench. She was sitting down with her sandwich and looking at her phone. I walked over. "Hi!" I said. She looked at me and took off her sunglasses. "Oh hi". She smiled. She really was beautiful. "Are you the kid who got arrested for vandalism.". I gave a weak smile. She knew more about me than I knew about her. "Yep that's me."  She looked at me like I was now a weirdo. Great! Just great.

She smiled and tried to change the subject. "I'm Beth, Beth Bates." I smiled and said, "I'm Joseph, Gareth." Her eyes brightened up. "Are you related to the millionaire John Gareth?" I rolled my eyes and said. "He's my dad."

She turned on her phone to look at the time. "Sorry I've got to go, my collage class starts soon. I major in music." I waved goodbye as she left.

As I walked back home I wondered would I ever see her again?

My friend David was waiting for me. "Where you been?" "Met a hot chic."
He looked at me like he was disappointed. "Are you over with Melody?." I ground and said yes. "Can I have her now?" I laughed. David, always with the ladies! "Sure dude."

It was 10:00 and I was just half way through Netflix and no chill. I could get her out of my mind. What was her name?? Beth.
