"Ahhhh!! Stop Sh-Shizuka! It hurts!"

Shizuka was stabbing Dia who was on her way to the music room with a fork. Dia just wanted to go to the music room to be alone and to cry her heart out just like always but since Shizuka had nothing more to do than to bully her, she couldn't. Because of her petite shape and baby face, she had always been the person that Shizuka bullied. Nobody knew about it, Shizuka knew how to deal with his bullying secretly and Dia was too shy and scared to report it to the teachers so she preferred to suffocate in silence.

"Where are you going, shorty? Don't you want to stay here to amuse me?" Shizuka grabbed her shoulder and made her turn around forcefully, slamming her back to the music room's door.

Dia winced and started trembling. "P-Please... Stop it... "

Just as Shizuka was about to punch her, the door on which Dia was leaning on opened making the cute girl fall backwards into a masculine chest. The owner of the chest looked up, raising his eyebrow and looked at Shizuka who had his fist up for a punch.

"Were you about to punch her? It's bad manners for a man to kick a girl, you know." Kirino said, turning Dia to make her face him. "Are you okay?" He asked, lifting her chin up to make her look at him. Dia nodded shyly, blushing, not accustomed to those gestures.

Shizuka growled, making Dia's petite body tremble. "Let go of her. I have some matters with her. It's not your business."

Kirino held Dia in his arms protectively as he glared at the bully. "Whatever matter you have with her, it doesn't seem like she wants to deal it with you anyway. So go home, and leave her alone."

Dia's heart suddenly thumped loudly, heat rose to her face and she buried her face deeper into Kirino's chest not wanting him to see her blush. Dia felt strangely secure around Kirino, though it was the first time that they met so far.

"Shorty, come here right now!" Shizuka ordered, fuming.

Dia winced, unconsciously wrapping her arms around Kirino, clearly not wanting to go to Shizuka. Kirino gently patted her hair and whispered in her ears, "I'll protect you, don't worry."

Dia flushed, thanking the heavens for sending such a charming prince to her. "A-Arigato... Prince-sama..."

Kirino smiled and lifted his head to see Shizuka chuckling. "Nobody has ever talked to the dwarf before beside me. Who are you to talk to her? I know her more than anyone. I just need to get rid of you, right?"

Shizuka changed into his stance of fighting while Kirino moved Dia behind him in an attempt to protect her.

Dia panicked. She did not want the pink haired guy to hurt himself. She took his hand from behind and muttered, "Don't hurt yourself...".

"I promise." Kirino dashed into Shizuka and threw him on the ground and his hand on his neck. He smirked, preparing his fist for attack. "So what do you want? Alive and leave Dia alone or dead and go to hell?"

Shizuka trembled like a leaf, on the verge of tears. "I-I'll leave Dia alone, I promise! Don't kill me!"

Kirino stood up, dusting his hands and walked back to Dia. He looked behind and said, "Don't break your promise or I'll break your neck."

Dia looked at him, impressed. He was really like a prince! She knew at one glance Kirino was her first love. "Arigato Prince-sama. You're amazing." She smiled.

Kirino smiled, caressing Dia's blonde hair. "My name is Kirino Ranmaru, dear Dia. I love it when you smile... But I love it even more when I'm the reason."
