Your POV

"Sakka yarouze, minna!"

"You can do this." I leaned forward, watching Endou kick the ball around with his team players. He was directing his friends as the captain, although he looked quite cool doing it, I always tried to keep my face neutral. But everytime he scored a goal, I could not prevent the smile from spreading across my face.

Haruna came before me, blocking my view with a grin on her face. She looked at if she had just won at a game.

"What?"

"Why are you only staring at Endou? I mean, there's also the other 10 boys that you can admire so why are your eyes only on Endou, huh? Stop denying it! You like-"

"Wait wait wait! Stop what you're about to say. Thid is ridiculous! I am his childhood friend, of course I would watch him. I have seen him kick that ball for years, I have to see how far he has progressed."

Haruna rolled her eyes and sat beside me. "Stop that F/n-chan, I know that you're aware of your feelings, it's just that you're afraid of revealing it to Endou. I know he can be dense sometimes, but even he can't resist to such a nice girl like you."

I stayed silent for a moment, closing my eyes and taking a deep breath. I have had a crush on Endou since we were kids, I was always okay with being just friends, but I thought that it was indeed time for a change. Haruna was right, she always was.

"...What should I do?"

Haruna's eyes instantly brightened liking the fact that I did not deny it this time and she smirked. "I have an idea."

"Are you sure this is a good idea?"

I stood by the lake, wearing a dress and heels, feeling totally out of my comfort zone. I never wore dress nor heels, I never felt at ease with those clothes on. The rest of the girls were hiding in the corner, all watching excitedly.

"You can do this, F/n-chan!" Aki said from her hiding spot.

"Endou will be a real dumbhead for not accepting you." Narumi followed beside her.

"Done." Haruna finally released my hair from an hour of torture and ran to Aki to hide with them.

I was quite nervous. When Haruna said that she had a plan I did not know it would include all the girls participating. Although I trusted those girls a lot, this did not seem like a good plan. But since they put so much effort into this, I thought that I would give it a try.

Endou arrived shortly after, scanning the place with his soccer ball under his arm before resting his eyes on me. He walked until he was next to me and asked, "F/n, where are the others?"

"Who?" I stared at him questioningly.

He scratched his head as he looked around. "Otonashi told me the team wanted to meet here to practise."

"Oh."

I looked behind at Haruna and glared at her. She gave me a sorry smile before going to hide herself again.

"Well it's okay." Endou looked at me again and shined his dazzling smile. "Do you want to play with me? We used to play soccer a lot when we were kids."

I glanced at my heels. "I'm not really dressed for that."

"Oh, well that's fine. I guess today is rest day."

I looked behind again with no idea of what to do and saw Haruna doing all sort of hand gestures to tell me to go play with Endou.

I took a deep breath and called out to Endou who was walking towards the bench to take a seat." Let's play." I then proceed to remove those clearly painful high heels, thinking that it was going to be in the way.

I ran on the field with the ball at my feet and Endou before me, trying to steal the ball. I laughed and continued running towards the goal, thinking for a second that I had the chance to win. But that thought was quickly brushed off when Endou stole the ball from me and ran the other way.

Not willing to give up, I ran as fast as I could and I tripped him with the sole intention to win. Somehow I locked feet with him and instead of the scenario I had in mind of him falling and me winning, we eneded up falling together with me on top of him. It was very cliché indeed but it can happen especially when you did not know how to trip somehow.

I stared at Endou in the eyes and he looked embarrassed with his cheeks flushed. I thought that Endou was really dense and it was futile to even wait for him to do the first step. Sometimes girls gotta do it too.

I leaned closer to him and for the first time ever, I kissed someone and I did not regret it one bit. Surprisingly, Endou returned the kiss. After our heated moment, I pulled back and asked, "Do you like me?"

Endou turned deep red and looked away shyly. "Does it mean I like you when I steal glances at you and when my heart beats when we're alone? If then, I like you."

I beamed and pecked his lips several times before finally deciding to say those three words. "I like you too Mamoru forever and ever."

Endou grinned and stood up, carrying me in bridal style. "Ah I can't hold myself anymore, I'm so hyypeedddd!" He ran laps around the field with me in his arms. We laughed, feeling the wind and sharing the joy of our declaration of love.
