"Ms.lee, are you sleeping in class. AGAIN?" a loud smack was made on my desk

I looked up and saw my teacher, mrs.albers holding a ruler with a angry look plastered on her face

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" I rubbed my eyes and sat up straight

Everyday for the past 3 years have been hell for me. My mother is a drug addict so she spends every bit of money she gets on drugs. Our father left us 4 years ago so that's when it all started . She got depressed and into drugs . I'm the one currently working since she doesn't want to get her lazy ass out of her room which stinks of ciggrates

"This is your 4th time sleeping in class this month! Did you even hear what the assignment is?" Ma.albers crossed her arms on her chest

"No..." I said quietly fiddling with my hands on my lap

She sighed "our class is interacting with another class from korea, they are gonna learn English and we're gonna learn korean. Everyone's gonna get a partner on the app hellotalk but you don't see their picture and they can't see yours."

"Oh.."

"Since you fell asleep you get your partner first." She started walking torwards her desk to grab her laptop . She started typing through it "Jaelin, it seems your paired up with someone named sunyoul. Here's your username and password" she held her arm out holding a peice of paper

I got up from my seat and grabbed the paper from her hand

After the teacher told everyone who their partner was and their ID's , she gave out instructions

"Remember class, if you don't make a little bit of progress in learning korean in the next 4 months you fail my class."

"That's not fair, Ching Chong over there knows the stupid language" Anna , the 'popular' girl in our school pointed to me

I got up quickly ready to beat the shit out of her but my best friend, Emily held my wrist so I wouldn't move

"I'm HALF korean and I hardly know how to speak the 'Ching Chong' language you racist slut" I sat back down in my seat

I'm half korean and half japanese but I don't know how to speak either languages fluently . Just the basic words to comminicate with my grandparents ... Well I don't need to speak japanese anymore since my dad left. If he was an actual man then he would at least call on my birthdays

"Ling ling please" Anna chewed on her gum

"Ms.Smith stop it! You too ms.Lee!" Our teach banged her ruler on her desk startling me

"She wanted to fight" Anna threw her hands up as if she was innocent

"Yea, and who caused her to say that?" Emily joined in

Anna just rolled her eyes and chewed her gum furiously

"Spit the gum out Anna" ms.albers pointed to the trash by the door

Anna got up out of her seat showing off her tiny leather skirt and spit the gum out in the trash

I swear, she's so slutty . How do guys think that's attractive? What if she has stds..

*bell rings*

"Alright class remember to message your partner tonight !" Our teacher yelled over the loud noise of chairs screeching so students can get out the class

"Still working 2 jobs?" Emily grabbed onto my backpack as we made our way out the crowded halls into the cafeteria

"Yep, do you think you can come over tonight so you can help me with my missing homework?"
