Y/N's POV

"Guys! Wait for me! Common!!" I screamed, falling on my knees panting. My friends always leave me. I dont even consider them friends honestly. I heard a familiar voice come up from behind me.

"Y/N? Why are you on the ground like that? Shouldn't you be with your friends?" My friend Jeanie said, looking over my shoulder to see my friends at a picnic table without me. I sighed, shaking my head. I stood up and dusted off my knees. She looked at me, offering me some water.

"Ill pass for now".

" Are you sure? Your out of breath you should really drink it before you get dehydrated", Jeanie said in a worried tone. I sighed a bit, opening my water bottle and drinking it.

"Hey.. Im really tired and I really wanna just go home and sleep" I said, handing her the water bottle and picking up my bag. Jeanie looked at me and nodded. "I understand. Call me when your done resting" She smiled warmly. This is why I love Jeanie, she's really nice and understandable. I sighed in defeat, "I cant lie to you.. Im going to my friends house.. Were gonna hang out today".

She chuckled lightly. "Is it Kaneki?", she asked in a voice that she would use if she had just figured out a crime.

I giggled. "How'd you know?", I questioned, still giggling lightly. She winked, then asking if she could come with me. I thought for about a split second, then nodding. I couldn't say no, she is my best friend after all. We made our way down the long street of Tokyo.

"Soooo" she said, smirking.

"What?" I replied, looking a bit scared but still walked beside her.

"Do you like Kanekiii?~" Her smirk got wider.

My eyes widened, my face turning darker. I opened my mouth to speak, but no words came out once I seen Kaneki walk out of the shop.

"Oh-- Hello Y/N-" He said, turning his path of walking to me. He has an eyepatch on his eye. "Are you okay?! What happened?!" I asked, noticing the eyepatch. He scratched the back of his neck, nodding hesitantly.

I frowned, trying to shrug it off. "Well.. Alright.. Ready to go? Jeanie will be coming with us", I told him. He smiled and waved at Jeanie. "Yea- But instead of going to the park, could we go to the coffee shop?" Kaneki asked. I nodded. "Oh yea sure no problem".

We started walking, talking silently.

"Sooo?" Jeanie said, pushing me and Kaneki together. My face heated up faster then ever, and I could tell so did Kaneki's.

I groaned. "Oh come on Jeanie give it up" I blushed darker, hiding my face.

Kaneki laughed and hugged me.

I heard something crash and I jumped, covering my face. Jeanie screamed, running away. Was I alone?

"Who are you?" I heard Kaneki ask. I slowly uncovered my eyes to see what he was talking about. I seen a tall guy with short purple hair. The man chuckled darkly, this scared me. He stepped closer and closer. Kaneki growled. "Stay away".

Something grew around his arm. I gasped when I seen his kagune. He was a ghoul. Kaneki's mouth dropped, eyes widening.

"Scared little one?" He grabbed my arm, stabbing it with his kagune. I heard something shoot out behind us, I turned my head to see that Kaneki had a Kagune out.

"K-Kaneki?"
