The Party Starts

We were able to get Pandora safely loaded into the trailer after one of the ranch hands wrapped her ankle. Mr. Upton was in the drivers seat he had me sit in the middle and Tom hopped in beside me.

Neither or Mr Upton put our seatbelts on ,normally we didn't wear seat belts as it was only a few miles on the road down the road but Tom reached around me for my belt. It was almost sureal as I watched his head past by my breast looking for my belt.

"Now let's get you buckled up cant have my Angel in danger on her way to heaven," He grinned as he looked up on his way back to sitting upright after finding my seat belt. I thought I was gonna melt right there. Ugh.   I couldn't help myself I smiled back at him.

Mr.Upton must have noticed something between us because he asked, "Um, would you two like to ber alone.  I can always let Tom Drive instead."

"What?  um, No.. I mean..  ,"  I stammered.  I could tell my face was now very red.  Tom threw his head back and laughed.  He got me laughing too.  I cant remember a time that I have laughed so much in just a few hours.  He..  amazing..

The trip home was uneventful. Mr. Upton turned the radio on and it was playing an old Hank song.  I looked at Tom and grinned..  "Would you?" I asked..  surely he would sing along.  Not yet having seen the movie he did for Hank Williams,  "I Saw The Light," yet but I'd heard enough samples of Tom singing to know I would defiantly have awesome dreams tonight.

As Tom Sang for us Mr. Upton and I swayed and tapped out feet to the music.  Mr. Upton seemed impressed.  The trip seemed so short.  As we pulled up the drive Dad and mom were waiting by the barn.  I looked at Mr. Upton he said, " I called ahead and let them know we were coming."

Oh this was not going to be good.  I kind of felt like a teenager again.  I know dad would ground me, wait what for it was after all just an accident.  Tom must have noticed something as he put his arm around me and whispered in my ear and asked, "Are you ok?"

"Yeah I'm fine.  Seeing mom and dad at the barn arms crossed kind of reminds me of something I did as a teen."  I grinned shyly.

"Ooh, a wild girl," Tom teased.  "I like it," he said in a very Loki like voice.

Mr. Upton had stopped and gotten out of the truck.

Nope couldn't take it .  I leant forward and buried my head under my arms.  "ahhhhhhhhh,"  I said.  Tom put his hand on my back and bent over to whisper in my ear again as Loki voice, "Your mine now. Resistance is futile."

Tom and I both sat up then and laughed till we nearly had tears in our eyes.  I shook my head and looked at him.  I smiled and said," why cant other guys be this fun. I haven't' laughed this much in years but dude,  No more Loki if you expect me to stay conscious. "  I grinned.   His Grin was even bigger.  He put a finger to my lips and said, "as for other guys being funny all I can say is those that are often get the girl and for Loki...(Loki voice again this time with a serious stone cold Loki Gaze) No Promises....  Shall we," Tom said and gestured toward the door.  "Let's go meet your parents."

Why I felt a little self conscious about this I have no idea.  It just felt odd.  Tom opened the door and stepped out then offered a hand to help me out.  Such a gentleman, dang but he's amazing.

Mr. Edward McCall was a tall man with dark gray hair short and curly, his deep blue eyes saw everything.  Mr. Upton had called earlier and told him what had happened.  He had hoped his daughter didn't figure it out it was he that had gotten Pandora so heavy.  Sabotash.   He grinned to himself.

Mr. McCall walked up to Mr. Upton and extended his hand.  "Lucus, thank you for brining Pandora and Mariana home.  I appreciate it," said Edward with sincerity.

Mr. Upton extended his hand and capped his other hand on top of Edwards. "Edward, Its no trouble." He stepped forward and whispered, "I'm afraid I let the cat out of the bag.  She knows about the party," He said. "Sorry."

As they released hands Mr. Upton turned as Tom and Mariana walked up.  "Edward I'd like you to meet my guest."  Mr. Upton gestured to Tom.  As Tom stepped forward Mr Upton place a hand on Tom's shoulder, "This is Tom Hiddleston."

Tom extended his hand to Mr. McCall, "I'm very pleased to meet you sir," Tom said in a very British accent with a hint of his fathers native language.   I could listen to that all day I thought.  I shook my head to shake the thought.

"Mr. Hiddleston, I understand you helped my daughter out.  Thank you."  Edward shook Tom's hand.  A firm grip but still warm and affectionate.  "My sweet little angel."  Dad smiled at me and released Tom's hand and open up his arms for me to get the hug he had been wanting to give all morning.

"Come on baby girl, give your daddy a hug."

Like expected I stepped up and hugged daddy, "Oh Dad you've never called me an angel.. I remember a time when you used to call me... "

"Well now How about a little hug for mamma bear," Mrs. McCall interrupted.   Lillian McCall was a thin built woman but still pretty shapely for a woman of 65.  He red hair still as bright as the day of her wedding nearly 30 years ago.  He bright cheery attitude was refreshing and put smiles on all the men around.  Especially Tom he seemed thrilled to meet Mariana's parents.  Lillian muscled her way in between her husband and her daughter to gather her daughter into her arms.  Mom always gave warm hugs.

Mariana said broke things up early, she pushed back from the hug and looked at her mom then back up at her father.  Mom was a bit shorter than dad.  Mariana taller than mom but not nearly as tall as Dad.  Mariana had her fathers dark brown hair but her eyes were green with blue on the edge.  Eyes that had captured Tom's gaze more than one time that day.  Little to the knowledge of Mariana.

"So, a party hey.  What did I say, No parties."  Mariana's said with a hand on her hip.

Spunk, thought Tom, very cute, he grinned.

Mr.. McCall whispered to Mr. Upton, "You did invite this young man to the party right," Edward said in a whisper only those two could hear.  He had seen the looks Tom was giving his daughter.  Hmm he thought, I think he likes her.

"Its not a party, " said Mrs. McCall (Lillian), "Its a bbq," she said as she started heading for the front porch.  Attempting to tough on Mariana's hand, and you need to get to bed young lady otherwise you won't have any fun tonight. "  She winked at me and looked over at Tom.

I rolled my eyes and thought.  Oh, kill me now.  I could see Tom read my thought as he burst out in laughter.  I just shook my head as Dad and Mr. Upton started laughing too.
