There was nothing in here, it was completely empty, but at the far end of the cupboard was a ball, a red shiny ball.

In the middle of this old, wrecked house.

I tensed up, it was so odd. I slowly went ahead to pick up the ball. I grabbed it by both of my hands and brought it close to me, all the while my eyes fixated on it, my breath ragged.

And then something slightly nudged my leg!

I jumped up with fright and turned around to see who it was, no one was there, just the empty room with a old bed in the corner and a broken lamp beside it.

'That was probably just my imagination' I thought to myself.

But then I felt a warm breeze slightly brush the left side of my face.

I felt and sounded as if someone was breathing.

I froze right there, terror filling me from the inside, my eyes wide with horror.

Someone, or something was right behind me, breathing so deeply it felt as though it was breathing in my soul.

I turned pale, blood draining from my face. I let go of the ball and it bounces a couple times after finally stopping at the center of the room.
At the exact moment the breathing behind me stops, but I am still too terrified to move even an inch.

I turn my head very slowly to look towards the opened door. Which will lead me to the hall.

I collect my guts and make the run for it, almost falling because of a mirror's piece.

Yeah moment I reach the door, it just slams shut!

I pull the handle, hard, but it doesn't even bulg even a bit. I try to pull it open a couple of times but nothing happens.

Finally fear takes over me and I break down, tears start to roll out of my eyes as I bang my hands against the door and call out for Sam and Andy, my throat going dry because of screaming.

I give up and just sob, while putting my weight against the door.

In the silence which was only interrupted byy sobs, I heard the sound of the ball bouncing on the floor. The hair on back of my neck rose up.

I turn my head to look at the ball, and sure ad hell it was bouncing in the center of the room.
With the sudden determination to get the hell out of here, I put all my force in pulling the door open.

Sweat forming ony forehead as I use all the energy I have left in me to open the door.

Suddenly the door swings open and I almost fall ony butt.
I quickly regain my balance and get out of the room while calling out for the boys at top of my lungs.

I run and reach the main entrance of the room and turn around to find Sam and Andy come down the stairs that led to the second floor.

"Where the fvck were you two?!" I yelled at them, slightly relieved to see familiar faces.

I run and hug them both as tears start to soak Sam's shirt.
"Dude! What happened? We just went to check out the second floor." Andy said with concern.

I pull away from them, confusion clearly shown on my face.

"Wait, you guys didn't hear me call out for you?"

"No we didn't and anyways we like a minute I think." Sam replied.

It felt like hours.

"Leave it, let's get the hell out of here." I pleaded, eagerly wanting to forget what had happened.

"Fine, let's go."
