Yeah, sorry for another short one guys!!!! It's another one I found from the same notebook as the last one. No wonder I almost failed science...oops. I promise I'll write a longer one for the next chapter though!!!!!!!

His blue eyes glinted as he admired one of his father's greatest creations. The sky. Although, the blue of the sky was nothing compared to the deep hypnotizing colour of his eyes. His feathery dark hair shifted with the light breeze, falling into those beautiful eyes.

"It's so complex," he mumbled, his deep voice ringing throughout the clearing. His eyebrows narrowed as he turned his gaze to me. "Don't you agree Dean?"

I just smiled at his childish inquiries. "Yeah, I agree Cas."

Castiel turned his gaze back to the sky. Once again, the setting sun glinted off of his bright eyes. They were the most beautiful eyes I'd ever seen, almost inhuman. To my disappointment , they closed, shutting away the colour behind the lids. His trenchcoat clad arms spread out to his sides, as if he were soaking in the fading sunlight. I inhaled deeply as his wings emerged from his back, black as night. The wind picked up, causing his trenchcoat to billow out behind him and his hair to dance erratically on his head.

"Cas?" I managed, my voice choked up in the awe I was feeling. His eyes didn't open, but a small smile played on his lips.

"Come here," he said, barely audible as he ruffled the silky looking feathers on his wings. Feeling slightly intimidated, I slowly approached the angel. Without opening his eyes, he asked me a weird question.

      "Can you see them?"

"See what?" I asked, confused by my friends blunt question.

"My wings. Can you see them?" He asked simply.

"Yes, why? Am I not supposed to?" I was starting to feel slightly panicky.

"You're the only one then." He finally opened those blue eyes, and gave me a genuine smile.

     "What does that mean, Cas?"

"It means that you're the only mortal I cannot live without," he said, almost shyly.

When I heard this, I shouldn't have felt the way I did; a surge of happiness and the telltale warmness in my cheeks that signified a blush. This was not normal, I shouldn't have felt that way around him, he was my best friend. And a guy. I should have walked away, that's what Dean would've done. But I wasn't really the same as I once was, was I? So instead of turning away, I enveloped him in a hug. He returned the embrace, and his wings slid around us like a charcoal cocoon. All I wanted to do was stay here, intertwined with Castiel, my angel.
